It was close to our hotel so we went. Loved it the minute we walked in. The decor is pure Italian American and the vibe is warm and welcoming. The rice balls are phenomenal but the pizza is the best. The fire roasted crust is out of this world. Order the cannoli. You can thank me later.
Very solid & good pizza's. Cooked very well. We went here twice.
They do cater to vegan's as my partner was.
Only thing I would say is that the ends of the crust were getting to the burnt stage on both occasions but this really was a minor thing. Taste was good, although I have had better. But still, it was very good. Heck we went twice so it must of been! Just a bit more flavour and it would be a five star.
We came at 3pm for a late lunch much and enjoyed the atmosphere (60s-90s music) and the food was amazing. We had a young family that walked in even made the pizza with the chef. Very friendly and warm and would definitely recommend.
If you ever crave a pure Italian pizza ,this is the place for authentic pizza .
Spices and flavours are really good and and the ambience makes is a pure Italian based pizza hotel .
The aroma is mesmerising.
Even if the food wasn't good, which it is, the service and staff make it worth the visit. Pizza is great and we were well taken care of. We will be back for sure!
Awesome food & service. The caprese was very good but however the portion for the price ratio was not so good. The pizza on the hand was amazing... The #1 was very good. Probably the best pizza I had in NY. The only issue we had was that it was very drafty and cold in the restaurant.
Awesome pizza and service!. I've had pizza in many places, including Naples. This was really really good. It is thin crust, as is typical with NY pizza and it was made in the Italian style. It is fired in a brick oven, and was really good. The crust is perfect, and the toppings are great. If you want an authentic NYC pizza experience... this is your place!
Service: Andrea was wonderful! Funny, and helpful, and so very good at his job. Thank you very much for a great pizza experience!
Price was really great. I'll be back!
This is NYC pizza at its finest.
Spectacular. This is UNBELIEVABLY great pizza!
We had the arugula salad with goat cheese, cranberries & walnuts - spectacular.
Then we had two pizzas - Asparagus white pizza w/truffle oil, and the Loaded Pizza.
After trying most all of the pizza in Hell's Kitchen, I can assure you that this is the best!
Simple ingredients great flavour. Ordered online and received a 10 percent discount. The dough was thin and slightly charred (but pleasantly so). Toppings fresh, and flavoursome. There's a lot of competition in this market and Capizzi doesn't disappoint.
Very tasty pizza experience and not something to pass up while you are in New York! This place might not seem as flashy as other locations, but has delicious pizza and Italian cuisine. Highly recommend trying the honey chicken pizza, it was so so good we wished we had more! The staff is also very friendly and service quick. There are lots of really cool decorations on the inside of antique coca cola materials and other memorabilia!
Wouldn’t say the pizza is “the best in NYC” or anything, to be honest, but it was still great and I’d recommend. The service was good, the servers were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. It was somewhat busy but we only had to wait 10-15 minutes or so for a table on a week night.
Such a great little pizza place, oh my goodness. I am a street photographer unfamiliar with the area and saw good reviews and decided to pop over. I was greeted very kindly by the staff and felt cozy in the small but spacious dining area. I got a simple margarita pie, but believe me when I say it's one of the best margarita pies I've had (and I'm Italian, I've had tons of pizzas throughout my years). Do yourself a favor and visit Capizzi.
I've been twice now and I have had a delicious experience every time! It is a nice, quite intimate setting with great staff. I've gotten the margarita pizza with organic chicken cutlet and it always hits the spot. All the pies are personal size (12 inches) which is the perfect size especially for everyone to share slices from their own pie. I look forward to coming back soon!
Such a pretty restaurant. The waitress was so friendly and helpful with the menu. We had an arugula salad, chicken parm pizza, and sausage and broccoli Rabe pizza. Everything was so good. The pizza crust was quite the star! It tasted straight from Italy.
Probably one of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Sophisticated interior design and decor. Nice staff. No need to wait for a long time for pizza to get ready!
While tucked away in the corner of an unassuming building, Capizzi is a true gem. This very cute and cozy dinner spot has excellent pizzas and a friendly family atmosphere. The staff was also very nice.
Very good restaurant! Best pizza I had in the US. Ad good as the ones you can get in Napoli. We had prosciutto funghi and rice ball with spinach.
This was some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had. Though I did get the salmon, it was such a great tasting piece of fish! The vegetables were so complementary as well. The atmosphere was amazing and the owner came by and chatted with us for a little bit as well. Great service and great food. I feel like I must stop for Italian food in New York.
I recently visited this restaurant where I had the pleasure of trying their Prosciutto Pizza and Rice Balls with Tomato Sauce. Let me start by saying that the Prosciutto Pizza was out of this world! It was wood-stoved, and though we had to wait for 10 minutes, it was definitely worth the wait. The crust was perfectly crispy and thin, and the toppings were generous and flavorful. The prosciutto added a delicious salty flavor, and the combination of ingredients was simply divine.
In addition, I also had the Rice Balls with Tomato Sauce as an appetizer, which was also delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the tomato sauce was rich and flavorful. It was a great complement to the Prosciutto Pizza, and I enjoyed every bite.
Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant, and I would definitely visit again for the Prosciutto Pizza. It was truly one of the best pizzas I have ever had! If you are a pizza lover, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out.
