Me and my friend needed somewhere to sit, sip and refresh ourselves.
This place brought us more than just a break! We sat outside enjoying end of summer/beginning of fall weather, artisan cheese and delicious food!
You can see giant cheese making machine inside of the store which I think last time I have seen something like it was in 2006 at a cheese factory in Netherland! Definitely want to come back to try more on the menu, I am taking one star as I wish they explain little more about the cheese when they serving making onsite cheese making little more special!
Definitely want to go back for a romantic meal :)

For the food I might give 4.3? but I more star for the people and the place. The staff I met today was friendly, and the space is welcoming.
🧀🍅The combo of the grilled cheese and tomato soup was a classic good choice ($1 off.) I did agree with some comments that I found here, the sandwich was good but nothing impressive; the tomato soup was a hit for me. Pure, rich, and thick. It was great with the cheese and crotons they served.

I had a grilled cheese sandwich - - simple food done very well. I thought the place feels almost like a fun museum. It's spacious, multi-story, and the dedicated cheese-making room is separated by large windows, so you can watch the caseiculture process from both ground floor and 2nd floor.

Good cheese. Like that they had all mac n cheese grilled in oven. Roast vegetables are delicious. Rort rib is our favorite.
BTW, price is a bit high. Their mac n cheese is $16-29. Alcohol is from $9.
Overall I like their food, table and service.

I registered in one of the Pair Cheese Drink Wine classes by Hungry Pop recently but I have been to one of their classes as well. Beautiful space and the fact that they are having their own cheese factory inside the premises, makes the whole experience as cheesy-tasty as possible! If you go to dine definitely try their grill cheese with tomato soup or their signature Mac N Cheese. Beechers is from Seattle and I am pretty sure that they will soon conquer the NYC cheese world (if they already haven’t)

This place is amazing with great atmosphere and beautiful decor
The staff was friendly and professional
They offer a large selection of wines, local draft beer and their Mac & Cheese is delicious.
You can try the cheese plate and pair it with your favorite wine or a summer ale and you won’t regret it.
I suggest you pick the couch area by the bar is very comfortable and private enough to have a great time with friends.
They offer catering for special events and if you like their cheese you can buy some to go on your way out since they have a store on the main floor.

We went downstairs to the restaurant that takes up the basement in this joint. The decor is pretty laid back and there weren't too many people there, though I suspect that was due to it being late and it was the Labor Day weekend. I expect that this place will get quite loud when it's more crowded.
The thing that caught our eye were the selection of Mac and cheese offerings. I'm assuming the cheese was provided from the manufacturing area of Beecher's, upstairs. You see lots of industrial machines in the storefront windows.
Anyway, we picked 3 styles of Mac and cheese, plus 2 sides. The sides were pretty standard and the Mac and cheese were yummy and very filling. Preferred this over S'mac.

🧀Great variety of cheeses!🧀 Their fig 🍯jam is also delicious and a must-try, which comes with some of the plates - including the prosciutto 🥓 plates and the standard cheese plate. They currently have all day happy hour where every item is from $7 to $12, including wine🍷! We sat at the lounge downstairs shown in the pics

The PICTURE says it all? My family loves the mac and cheese - they consider themselves experts. I like mac and cheese but at Beecher's I love it. This place has it all ...

I'm a huge fan of Murray's, and expected something similar from Beecher's. While both are fantastic, I was delighted by some of the differences. Where Murray's provides a broad selection of cheeses to explore different sides of your palette, Beecher's hones in on just a handful of homemade varieties. They offer a selection of curated dishes, each with a different cheese as the core. Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, cheese curds, etc. It was not quite as cerebral an experience as choosing from the massive list available at Murray's, and pairing that with their wine selection made for a comfortable, easy, fully satisfying dinner. I would recommend the grilled cheese with red lentil soup, mac and cheese with meatballs, or the lasagna.

We were going by feet from our hotel to the world trade memorial and totally by chance saw this place and entered. It was great. The sight of workers cutting the fresh cheese was something remarkable. There is a big variety of cheeses to choose from. I bought three types and they were all very good. Very nice place for cheese lovers. I wish we had more time to spend there.

Beechers has always been one of my favorite places. Good wine and food. They have one of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. I haven't been there in a while and went back yday and was sad to see the pork belly Mac and cheese was no longer on the menu. We got 2 orders of the regular Mac and cheese off the happy hour menu and it was still delicious but def missing that pork belly. Please bring it back!!

Best Bloody Mary in Manhattan. Came here for brunch and downstairs has a more expansive menu. Pretty cool setting but you can occasionally hear the Subway rumble. Great gluten free Mac n cheese! My friend has been looking for good gluten free pasta and it was amazing here.

If the aromas wafting out of this place aren't enough to lure you in, the people making the cheese in the front window should be. This place has a huge selection of locally made cheeses and delicious menu items, such as grilled cheese (various kinds) and mac & cheese. It's absolutely delicious and WAY more worth the wait than the silly Starbucks lineup!

The notorious mac and cheese was decent but hardly the world's best of its kind.
The Caesar salad was pretty expensive for merely lettuce, some seasoned croutons, a tiny blotch of cheese, and even tinier dollop of salad dressing.

Weird, creepy hostess refused to allow me and my 10-year-old son to eat lunch in the Cellar because it was "21 and over only." I had made a special long trip just to eat at Beecher's and see the cheese being made, because my boy is a budding foodie and loves Beecher's flagship cheddar. So we ate some "take-out" food upstairs. Afterwards, I asked politely if I (alone) could go downstairs just to glance briefly at what the Cellar looks like, since I work nearby and it would be convenient for lunch. Weird, robotic fake-smile "hostess" shook her robot head and said I was not allowed to even go down a few stairs to peek, repeating that "the rules are very strict." I am very obviously over 21, I assure you, but I would have gladly shown ID if asked. So the "Over 21" rule is bull. In addition, people were drinking wine upstairs. Rude, weird, hateful, and openly discriminatory practices in this business. Just gross and disgusting. We won't be buying any more Beecher's cheese for the house either.
