The food here was great. We made it for happy hour so we enjoyed a couple of glasses of sangria with our meal. We ordered octopus for the appetizer. It was great. I had the skirt steak with grilled asparagus. Both were very tasty. The steak was juicy. For dessert we had the churros with chocolate. The service was great and the atmosphere was quaint and cute.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you this great and very cute spot. Palermo is an iconic place. Palermo is a beautiful neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You have to try the parrillada por two people. The octopus to start is just delicious! Francho was our server. He’s from Spain. Great service overall. Thank you !!! My friend and I had a blast.

This place is great, the food was excellent with a decent price. It's small but cozy. Once you get settled and food served everything else is forgotten you will be so impressed with the taste and atmosphere you will definitely want to return. I know I will!

Great place to eat near the theater district. Very friendly atmosphere. Waiter was an aspiring comedian and was very good. Had the Hourglass salad and crab cakes with coconut rice. I would recommend. My diner partners had grilled chicken and the talapia which they both enjoyed. They had the price fixe option. I thought that their dessert was quite small in size but tasty. Not sure I would recommend price fixing the meal. My alacarte meal had more selections, but the price fixe was more economical-

Really unique spot with an interesting history. The brown bag special was a great deal! Always fun to try some new beer. The food was good, a great selection of classic home style meals. Definitely worth checking out for lunch or dinner.

What a cute spot! Perfect for date night, but our larger group was very happy as well. Our server was wonderful, making us feel right at home and waiting for pauses in the conversation to come back. She also took a million photos for us after dinner, prompting us to get up and do various poses. Great fun.
The restaurant is small, with three levels. We had our dinner on the top floor, in a small dining room with instruments hanging all over the walls. The music was classic and romantic, with songs like S'wonderful playing. The $25 prix-fixe is pretty reasonable, with really wonderful bread and a great dessert that stood out. Entrees had a home-cooked feel.
Overall, we really loved this place. Offers a real feeling of coming home, rare in this city.

We were in the third floor for the private event. It was nice. The room was small but cozy. That room is not for a very large crowd but fit about 20-25 quite nicely.
The host ordered Cuban sandwich sliders along with regular beef sliders, meatballs, crudite with fruit, hummus and pita bread.
I would definitely come here again. It has a nice cozy dining room.

I am from the South and know Southern Hospitality. Leanna, Jack, and all of The Hourglass Tavern Staff could not have been more gracious, hospitable, fun, and all welcoming for our last Supper on the tail end of an already amazing trip to NYC.
My Wife, 6-year-old Daughter, and I arrived on Saturday night for our 7:30 pm reservation and were at The Hourglass Tavern until 11:30 pm. Leanna and Jack kept us laughing all night while filling our bellies with delicious food and cocktails. Hells Kitchen and Restaurant Row where The Hourglass Tavern is located is very authentic. I lost count of the number of people how walked by that Leanna knew and would pop up from our table to welcome with a hug or conversation.
The food and libations were amazing. We started with a meatball appetizer which was delicious. For our main entrees, I had the Penne Mascarpone, my wife had the Lobster Ravioli and my daughter had the Sliders. All of us couldn't have been more pleased with our entree's of choosing!
I 110% RECOMMEND THE AUTHENTIC, FUN, AND DELICIOUS HOURGLASS TAVERN TO ANYONE looking for the true New York experience. You might not be Family but they will make you feel that way by the time you leave.
Keep up the great work Leanna, Jack, and Beth and thanks for making our last night in New York a memorable one!!! We will see you next time...

Food and drink menu at Saturday’s brunch was excellent. Shrimp and grits were amazing! And our server, Ryan, was very helpful and attentive. Great experience all around, and we will definitely add Hourglass to our list of regular spots - and it takes a special place to bring us to the West Side!

My fiancé and I have gone here the last two times we’ve visited the city. The food is phenomenal and the service is even better. Due to it being a smaller place than most, the noise level is low and the dining experience is wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a new place to try or one that’s off the beaten path.

Really enjoyed this experience! I have to admit, the place was a little sketchy when we first walked in but we were led upstairs to a very intimate setting for a birthday party. The service was amazing, the food was even better. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

This place was sooooooo good! Met a friend for brunch and it was delicious. Cocktails and food are competitively priced for the area, and the service was amazing. Super friendly staff. The food was delicious and a perfect proportion. I left feeling full, but not over-stuffed. The brunch cocktails were exactly what they should be – $5 for a mimosa that is mostly bubbly instead of orange juice! Will definitely come back soon!

Stopped by Hourglass Tavern for my birthday dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint! The owner was very pleasant and made us feel so comfortable. She suggested the stuffed ravioli with lobster to start and it was amazing! Words can't describe just how good it was! I had the crab cake with coconut rice and broccoli and my fiancé had the short ribs meal which we both enjoyed! The next time we are in town, the Hourglass Tavern will be my first stop!

We were all supremely happy with the choice of this restaurant, even with the shlep up to the 3rd floor. Well worth the climb. Period details, and the feeling of being in the Big Easy, plus excellent service, accommodations for the diets of my party, and quality of food were all tops. Easily wins our votes, and we are demanding New Yorkers! A tough crowd! Take it from us, and go here.

Nice little place in the theater district with a great atmosphere, good food and excellent service. Four of us had brunch on Sunday around 11:00 am. We were seated right away and given a tray of freshly made cranberry muffins that were delicious. I had the Creole Shrimp and Grits that was excellent, both piping hot and with the right amount of spice! My wife had the Potato Pancakes with Smoked Salmon. The potato pancakes were thicker than we have seen at other places and were especially tasty.
The brunch also offered a variety of special cocktails for only $5. The Bloody Mary got very high reviews from one of our party. We will definitely be returning.
