Review Toscana 49 - New York City

Brought a date here for her birthday and this place did not disappoint. From the time we walked in to leaving this place exceeded all expectations. Let’s start with the staff… Host = amazing, Server = amazing, Bartender = amazing…. Even the people sitting around us = amazing. The food was delicious. Like even the bread with the tomato paste was so good we wanted to take home because it was so good. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take anything home because we completely finished all of our meals including dessert. Bartender did a great job on the drinks. Margarita was perfect! The wine was so good a fly had to jump in it to treat himself to a taste. The staff switched it for a new glass and pour within the same 2 mins (impressive). Safe to say I love this place.

Came here with friends for a weekday dinner - really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was cozy! Service was fast and attentive, only complaint is that the waiter tried really hard to sell more wine to us, which was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that we really enjoyed the food - quality and portion size- and ease of reservation. Food wise I especially recommend this pasta dish - Spaghetti alla Chitarra e gamberi: Guitar Spaghetti with shrimp and arugula in light tomato sauce. It was well seasoned so the flavor was just right, and there were quite a few pieces of shrimp in the dish! Overall I would come again for a great Italian dinner!

Best Italian meal I've had in New York City so far. Every dish never disappoints me, especially the sauce for dipping the bread before the meal, the mussel stew in the soup, and the shrimp Guitar Spaghetti with shrimp and arugula in light tomato sauce are so delicious. I loved the tomato sauce used in several of their dishes so much that my friend and I devoured two portions of bread with it. The taste of the dessert tiramisu also made me very satisfied. The waiter's service is also great. I will visit there often in the future.

We walked in, and they asked if we had a reservation booked, we didn't, but they happily showed us to a table, which was very welcoming, especially as it was a Saturday evening. Very attentive staff, I didn't feel rushed. Atmosphere very cosy and comfy. Felt very relaxed. Outside seating also available and looked cosy and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a pasta dish for a starter, followed by pork chops & potatoes & a chocolate mousse for an extra treat. All was delicious. We had 2 bottles of red between the 3 of us, one of our party had 2 courses & the other had 4. Altogether price was costly, but considering we were eating in the middle of New York on a Saturday night it wasn't going to be cheap. Very delicious food, lovely staff and cosy surroundings, somewhere to go for a treat.

Delicious, authentic Italian food and wine accompanied by fantastic and efficient service. Can be pricey if you go for the full shebang (bottle of red wine starts at $60) but definitely worth it - can highly recommend this restaurant.

This was a fabulous restaurant. Atmosphere was cozy and romantic. All the staff was very accommodating, attentive and very pleasant. The food was delicious. The prices were reasonable. They offered glasses of wine under $25. They didn’t rush you. They had the most adorable table lights. I highly recommend this place. Darleen picked this winner! Spent $110 with wine and dessert.

Service was prompt and courteous 👏🏻 Carpaccio di manzo: melt-in-your-mouth texture, nicely paired with shaved cheese. Pagila e fiona: healthier take on carbonara without sacrificing taste - creamy rich, balanced with the sweetness of the peas. Unsung hero: sundried tomato bread dipping - goes well with everything!
