Scalini Fedeli, and old world plush Italian eatery, has been a fixture on Duane Street since way before Duane Street was au courant.
The food is remarkable and keeps on coming, the staff is old world professional, the quiet ambiance great for a date or a meeting.
Spectacular wine list, beautiful room, great food.

I’ve traveled the world and this is hands down the best Italian cuisine I’ve had to date. My wife and I booked a reservation on a recent trip to NYC to celebrate her birthday. We found this place and decided to give it a try. From the moment you walk in the door you feel at home with their genuine hospitality and eagerness to delight their guests. The staff was amazing! Piero took care of our every need and provided incredible service. He is a true gentleman with a great personality. Everything from the atmosphere, ambience, service, and food were a perfect 10 out of 10 and we tasted flavors I haven’t experienced in a very long time, if ever. The restaurant is under the care and guidance of Chef Michael Cetrulo and he was in the kitchen this particular night working up these magical dishes with exquisite flavors. The kitchen brought out so many different treats compliments of the chef, all perfect in their own unique way. So much flavor! For an incredible dinner experience, you must go here while in the city. Scalini Fedeli, thank you for a wonderful night!

My husband and I had dinner at Scalini Fedeli last night and our meal was exceptional. As native New Yorkers we have dined in some of the best restaurants in the city and Scalini Fedeli ranks right up there with the finest.
While most restaurants, even some of the best, have very noisy dining rooms with a din so loud it is hard to talk, Scalini Fedeli provides a quiet, romantic dining experience. I wish more restaurants provided this type of atmosphere. The dining room was attractive with high ceilings stained glass windows. The one negative about the dining room were the chairs, which were, unfortunately, hard and uncomfortable.
We had the prix fixe menu which consisted of an appetizer/pasta, a main course and dessert. To be noted- the meal began with an amuse bouche - a single ravioli in a scrumptious black truffle cream sauce. This was a surprising plus. I could have licked the plate clean of the sauce! I had as a first course, capellini pasta with asparagus, pickled leeks (which had a bit too much vinegar for my taste) small cherry tomatoes in an excellent light sauce. This was delicious. Must husband had a pasta dish with truffle sauce- fabulous.
For the main dish, I had shrimp over risotto and my husband had the veal chop. Both dishes were outstanding. The main dish was followed by a coconut sorbet with pineapple pieces and a granola crunch. This was absolutely delicious and a perfect follow-up to the main course. My dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with sour cherry sauce and dollops of cream. WOW. I really loved the tart cherries which complemented the bittersweet flavor of the chocolate cake. It was moist and delicious. My husband had the three flavors of gelati. Again- very good.
The service was attentive but not overbearing. All in all a wonderful evening not to be missed. We will return!! I highly recommend this restaurant for an outstanding northern Italian dinner.
Went with family whilst visiting friends. Excellent service and food was brilliant. Staff catered for all our needs as we had two children and nothing was a problem. Children loved the place and we had nothing bad to say about it. Would have revisited before we left but couldn't find the time, next time definitely.

Absolutely great place for dinner. Food was fantastic, service amazing, wine recommendation was very good. I’m not really a fanatic of Italian food (had too much as a kid), but this place is really worth it.

Nice special occasion place. Good atmosphere. Great view of freedom tower. Positives were very tasty sauces, and really good dessert sorbets. Substantial portions. Very expensive but you won't go away hungry. Cost per glass of wine was ridiculous. Don't bother with cocktails, bar is not their strong suit. Woody Allen was dining there so that was kind of cool.
Picturesque in every aspect. Top to bottom. This place delivered. The server was on point in every way. The chef brought out a wild mushroom ravioli in a champagne truffle sauce that was unbelievable. My risotto was flawless in texture and taste. For my entree, I had a succulent parmesan encrusted pork chop topped with arugula and prosciutto that ended too soon... My boyfriend's swordfish steak was cooked to perfection. Afterwards, they brought out two DIFFERENT palate cleansers that complemented what each of us had ordered before, So what I had went in line with what I ordered and the same for my boyfriend. Professionally and passionately thought out... Of course, dessert was amazing. If you are ever in Tribeca of Manhattan, do not pass up Scalini Fedeli.
This place was absolutely fantastic! A secret little hideaway with wonderful ambiance. Portions and service were outstanding. Everyone's dinner was delicious. I recommend trying the egg yolk ravioli. My friends and I could not say more about this wonderful find. We will be back.
One of the best meals I've had--ever!. I visited Scalini Fedeli for the first time with my husband recently while celebrating our first anniversary in NYC. What a wonderful choice of a restaurant! I really don't know where to begin this review, as every aspect of this meal was phenomenal. The ambience was romantic and sophisticated without being stuffy. The attention to detail of the waitstaff was first rate. The maitre d was friendly and accommodating. The prixe fixe menu contained many selections for all tastebuds. Our waiter suggested several entrees that were to our liking --I really don't think I've ever had fresher tasting pasta. The wine list was plentiful and contained many Italian varietals. Scalini Fedeli is a must for a romantic evening in NYC.
Scalini Fedeli was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in ages. The service is outstanding & welcoming. The food is also fantastic. It is a great value for a pre-fixed menu and you will leave very full and happy. Great for special events or romantic date nights. We spent several hours there and did not feel rushed through the dining experience at all. I highly recommend the egg soft yolk raviolo with truffle and the lamp chops. They were extremely accommodating, proactive with service and included complimentary wine to celebrate the special occasion. Looking forward to coming back!
5 stars for every category. I'd give 6 stars for the service. Our waiter Alfonso was superb. Made great recommendations and was on top of everything. This place is pricey but it's worth it.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. First of all, the price is very reasonable for the level of food and service you receive. The Genovese salmon dish was INCREDIBLE, and the chocolate soufflé, was the best dessert I have ever had, paired with a warm cup of tea, delightful! I was a solo diner, which often times gets me looked over and slower service, but NOT here. They treated me like I was a VIP and were so friendly and accommodating. 5 stars across the board, you cannot miss out on the experience you will have at Scalini Fedeli, book your table, do it!

This restaurant was like taking a trip back in time. I didn't plan to eat here but we were curious about what was in the old Bouley space with those fantastic vaulted ceilings.
First of all, the host was extremely gracious when we showed up without a reservation. They have a price fixe menu for $89 where you get about six courses. That price is very fair for the amount of food and service you get. The service was excellent. I was very impressed by how thoroughly the waiter folded my boyfriend's napkin when he went to the bathroom. A nice touch!
What I love most about this restaurant is ability to hear. So they had tapered candles on some of the tables. Very old school.
The menu was also huge! We found it difficult to make a choice of from all the amazing pasta offerings between the main menu and then the specials.
I also really like the fact that the the supplements for dishes were reasonable. It was no $50 upcharge for shaved truffles.
The food was good, not amazing but absolutely we are presenting what was offered. They bring a few of nibbles and small appetizers before your pasta course. The raviolo with runny egg yolk was very good as was the spaghetti Alice.
Unfortunately, my duck was tough but my boyfriend salmon was very generous and tasty even if it was slightly overcooked from what we asked for.
I thought that the desserts were the weakest link in the whole experience. It wasn't the execution or size but the quality of the chocolate and the ice cream that was lacking.
Still a thoroughly enjoyable dinner that would be perfect if you were taking your elderly Mom out to dinner if you wanted to remember what good service used to be like in this town without paying to eat at the more expensive places in New York.
I can think of two restaurants, right on West Broadway, that we've eaten in recently which were pricey and the service paled by comparison.
Except for the staircase which is steep and could be a bit of journey for an elderly person.
The ambiance is golden candle light and flowers is only exceeded my the amazing food and service. The food was presented like works of art. The combination of textures and scents and taste made me quiver in anticipation of the next plate. The flavors took me on such a journey. I found myself scraping my plates just to still enjoy some of the sauces. It was an inspired meal.
We had an amazing meal at this place. The service was great, although perhaps not exceptional in their attention to detail. You get a real sense of old school Italian vibes at this place. The arched ceiling and the dimly lit tables with candles make you feel as if you're in a different era.
The food was amazing. We loved every dish except for the duck, which was a bit tough and overpowered by the overly sweet jus. The seafood pasta and the Bolognese were excellent. The steak was very well cooked.
Note that this place only offers pre fixe menus; no a la carte.
Overall, we had a great time here and we'll go back to try some of the other dishes.
Wonderful dining experience! We absolutely enjoyed our evening. The prix fixe meal was perfect. More than we could eat, and we will be back!

My new guy and I went here after I searched a lower Manhattan spot for him to get to as soon as possible and away from Tuesday traffic.
The decor is pure Italian and gives you all the feels, it puts your mind in that space also.
My date and I had a full feast and were pleasantly surprised at such great customer service and cleanliness. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully placed! See photos attached.
This was our second time here and we enjoyed it even more than the first. The food, service, and timing of the meal is perfect. This is an experience, not just a meal. I can't wait to go back soon!
