My cousin to me to Per Se to celebrate a milestone birthday. I must say it was the best dining experience I have ever had. From the service, to the food, it was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. The staff were all so friendly and wee great to chat with. The food was mind blowing. There was so much flavoured packed into each bite. We were so full at the end. To top off the evening, they gave us a tour of the wine cellar and the kitchen and a signed copy of the menu from the chef and some other treats. This place is expensive but so worth it for that special occasion.

Definitely lives up to a lot of the aspects you’d expect from a 3 star restaurant. Service was phenomenal from start to finish alongside the drinks and atmosphere. The food was fantastic of course, the supplements were fantastic. But a small handful of dishes seemed to be their own iteration of some main ingredients that have been appearing repeatedly across restaurants in New York, and took away some of the wow factor of their menu as a whole.

Incredible views onto Columbus Circle/Central Park. Exceptional service matched with extraordinary food, yields the diametric opposite of a fast food experience. The kitchen is the hidden star of the show. A meal here will quickly turn a special occasion into a special-er(?) occasion…. The desserts are equally incredible. Low lighting and great decor round out the 5 star experience.

Spent around 700-800 per person and had two bottles of wine. I wish they would tell you what is on the menu before hand because I usually don't enjoy raw food. Last time I was here it wasn't based around raw fish and more cooked meats. Gratuity is already included* based on what they say but it seems that we still need to tip afterwards as they still have an option to do so. After talking to most folks people tip another 10 percent on top of what they have already paid for. I don't know if people should be tipping ontop of the price but we did it anyways. Definitely worth a stop if you never dined at luxury fairs and wanted to give it a go, but not worth dying for.

Wow - was perfect. I could go on and on … upgraded to wagyu - perfect. All the treats just great. Caviar … a HUGE dessert - it’s that good and worth it!

This is my favorite restaurant in Manhattan; I went here a few days ago and got the vegetarian tasting menu. We had the following: “Oysters and Pearls”, Chilled Cherry Tomato Soup, “Bread and Butter”, Norwich Meadows Farm Rainbow Carrots, Tempura-Fried Squash Blossom, Fava Bean & Eggplant “Agnolotti Doppi”, “Carnaroli Risotto Biologico”, New Jersey Green Asparagus, Gougere, and an Assortment of Desserts. The food was absolutely delicious; Per Se never disappoints. The service was impeccable as always.

Per Se was a dream come true. We coincidentally booked our reservation on their 19th anniversary back in February and that made for an even more special night. I can truly say that this was the first time that I experienced a flawless menu. I don't think I've ever eaten a meal as slow as I did here because I had to savory every bite. The sauce-work here is insane, its unlike anything l've ever had, the flavors are all so complex yet simple. "Oysters and Pearls" was even better than I could've imagined. "Artichauts En Vierge" was definitely one of the best dishes that I have ever eaten, the sauce was absolute perfection and makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Another favorite of the night for me was the Japanese Hiramasa "Tataki". I didn't even know that chicken could be so good and taste so high quality until had the "Four Story Hill Farm Poularde". The "Beets and Leeks" course with Maine lobster made me realize that every lobster i've had before this has been very overcooked. The gougere was insane and then the dessert drop to follow was literal paradise, I mean look at all of those desserts. This was such an unforgettable meal!

Came here with my wife as a special occasion. We had been to EMP before so we had high expectations for another Michelin 3 star restaurant. Service was decent - not to the same level as EMP (pre-vegan and Covid). Our server was attentive in the beginning of our meal for the first 4 courses, but after he did not touch base with us or ask us how the meal was going. The restaurant was getting busier and we guess he had too many tables to properly speak to all the guests. We ordered the foie gras and wagyu supplement. The foie gras came as expected, however we did not receive our waygu supplement. The mistake was remedied quickly but the response left something to be desired. Our server came and asked us if we had ordered the waygu. We didn’t expect it to be a big deal but given the lack of attention previously we felt there was a lack of attention to detail. We expect more from a 400+ per person meal and 3 Michelin star restaurant. Had this been another restaurant we would not have minded. Do not recommend the waygu supplement. Recommend foie gras supplement. Pacing for the courses felt a bit rushed. We would have liked a little more time to enjoy the food. Dessert was plentiful and not bad but too sweet for our tastes. Not enough proper balance. Highlights: Oysters and pearls (so delicious! We could eat this all the time) Summer salad Blue fin tuna Cheese dish Lamb (perfectly cooked) Overall we had a nice time but we likely would not go back for the price. Service just wasn’t good enough. Food was decent though. Per Se seems to be resting on its laurels and just isn’t worth the high price point.

Amazing culinary experience. We were fortunate to get a reservation at 4:30. The salad and oyster pearls were really good but the crab was a bit underwhelming. I definitely recommend upgrading to tagliatelle and wagyu for your last 2 dishes. They are worth it! Also the little dessert buffet was the best part at the end!! Thank you for the cutest NYC skyline.

Overall a great experience. Service and ambiance are what to expect for restaurants of this caliber. Somehow I was expecting a bit more for the cuisine per se. It lacks a little bit of magic and harmony compared to other fine dining places I’ve been to in NYC. Not a total lack of, of course, but I was hoping an even higher level of excellence. Many dishes, while good, can leave some room to be nitpicked. For instance, I find the smell of the oyster in the highly famed “oyster and pearls” a bit too salient and slightly incompatible with the rest of the dish. Dress code has been relaxed. While some patrons dress nicely, some dress in a fairly casual way. I would prefer they maintain a higher standard in this regard. To end in a good point, I like the way they price. Service and soft drinks seem to be included. And the coffee is good even for a fine dining restaurant. Overall definitely worth a visit at least once for a foodie. I’m just unsure how frequent I might visit, if I would dine here again.
