Review Best Bagel And Coffee - New York City

Alejandra Garcia
I went to Best Bagel Coffee, and I was impressed. As a bagel lover, I decided to try this option, and it was undoubtedly the best decision. The place is quite small, with around 6-7 tables inside and two small ones outside. Due to its popularity and the quality of the bagels, the place is usually busy, so taking your order to go and enjoying it elsewhere might be the best option if you don’t want to wait for a table. Although, if you’re patient, waiting for one of the few vacant tables might be worthwhile. I loved the originality of the place, especially how they have their menus hanging from the ceiling. They offer a wide variety of bagels with different cream cheese flavors, and all their ingredients look incredibly fresh. The day I visited with my family, we tried bagels of various flavors and truly loved them. I highly recommend this place, 100% for both locals and visitors in New York. It’s undoubtedly a must-stop to savor these delicious, fresh, hot bagels with incredibly tasty cream cheese.

The line is long, but the food service is fast. The process of ordering, paying, and serving is efficiently divided, making it very convenient. The staff taking orders are also very attentive. The bagels are tasty, and the cream cheese and salmon are quite delicious too.

Stopped by Best Bagel & Coffee for a quick bite. Tried the Everything jalapeño bagel with cream cheese (yep, it's the green one in the pic), an Everything bagel with lox cream cheese, and a Cinnamon Raisin bagel with cinnamon raisin walnut cream cheese. They were pretty decent - nice flavors and a solid bagel experience. If you're around and craving a bagel, it does the job.

I came here through a recommendation from a co-worker since they know that I appreciate a good bagel, and this place truly doesn't disappoint. They have a fantastic assortment of freshly made bagels that are done on the premises, and they have a wide variety of different flavored cream cheeses. I came here four days in a row to sample some of the different flavors, and everything was great! They have an extensive menu of hot and cold items, and everything is reasonably priced. The service can be a tad slow depending on what time you go, that is because it seems like this place is always booming with orders. The cashiers are friendly and the place is very clean. This is one of the best places to go that is outside of Brooklyn. Definitely recommend!

Best bagel in the neighborhood. I always make time to stop here pre Penn Station train ride. Bagels are baked in premise. Service is fast and organized. Friendly staff. They're expanded menu will hit all your coffee, bagel and sandwich cravings. I really like that they have a small comfy seating area, which is hard to find int typical bagel shops. Highly recommend!

Guys, they genuinely do have the best bagels. The blueberry bagel and strawberry cream cheese for breakfast was excellent, despite my lack of sweet tooth. Furthermore, the salmon bagel was incredibly filled with it and could not have been better. The only downside is that place gets cramped in the morning, so a few more places to sit would be really appreciated.

These bagels were pretty good. I bet they have other bagels that taste better then what I got... I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with peanut butter and jelly. There was way too much peanut butter on it. I'm thinking I should of gone for a classic everything bagel with cream cheese and that would have been a 5/5. There was a line but it went by quick. Also took a to go mango /orange juice and it was so good. The bagel was nice and warm. I'm thinking of going back and trying a different bagel style or sandwich!

I’ll start by saying my boyfriend doesn’t like bagels and he NEVER eats bagels, but we came here because I wanted to try them and he loved them, he finished his whole sandwich. He had chicken chipotle in an everything bagel which was fresh, crunchy and hot. I had the salmon with garlic cream cheese in an everything bagel and it was a 9/10. It was very good overall. It’s worth the line.

IT IS FOR REAL THAT THIS ARE THE BEST BAGELS IN NEW YORK! every time I go to New York I literally run to this place! I love it! It is delicious, but I do recommend being there early because otherwise you will get in line and it is super crowded; it’s still worth it! I can’t wait to go back! Best one is the salmon bagel! Staff is great I love to ask my order to go and I go to time square to enjoy it

Today was our lucky day, only three people in line when I got here. Last four times I came the line was out the door. Great bagels. I had the ET slammed with smoked salmon cream cheese onions and capers. Taking a dozen back home to Atlanta.

i had a tremendous breakfast at this place..it was quite close to my hotel in nyc...the bagel with plain cream cheese was nice with good flavours..the star of the show was the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel..certainly one of the best that i have had and most certainly addicted to it...fresh glass of orange juice to go along with it...it was quite crowded in the morning but the service was quite efficient...all the seats were full but we managed to get a standing place

We ordered plain cream cheese wholewheat bagel, Bacon, egg and cheese Omelette Bagel, California Grilled Chicken Sandwich with freshly squeezed try juice and Green Tea. The Bagel were soft and fresh. Creame cheese was smooth too. Omelette Bagel was a little dry for an Indian pallette but Chicken grilled Sandwich was amazing. Orange juice was without any additives yet sweet and pulpy.

We actively sought this cafe out after going there on our last visit to New York City and were not disappointed. They are just the best. Good staff, didn’t have to wait long and we even managed to get a table to eat the highly...

Rise and shine hunni-boo-boo because this is the best joint in town. The smell, the taste, the atmosphere. Saying this place is heavenly is sure a hell not enough sweeties, because they put the A in Bagel. Soooooo many options to pick from, all amazing, I just could not chose so ending up going to Mcdonlads instead.

I loved the bagels here! It was super busy but we were lucky to get a table. I had the everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheddar. It was a really big and fluffy bagel. I love to eat and am always hungry, but the bagel filled me up that I didn't even eat lunch. I definitely recommend it.

Best bagels ever, the cream cheese and salmon is to die for. There are other items on the menu but did not try them looked good. Next time will surely try..

Had a nice experience at best bagel. Best to go early as the queues are long but moves quite quickly. Can’t say much about coffee. Their egg bagel was a bit plain but their salmon and cream cheese on wholewheat was to die for. Chunks of salmon and cheese. Highly recommend for this. Decor is simple take away with a few tables seating.

Awful, won't be back. Read the good reviews, figured I'd deal with the line which was expected. Ordered a Soho on WH Bagel. No Mayo, Russian dressing and just a little. Order #14 3/23, 12:49 pm. Took it back to my office, two blocks away. Way too heavy dressing, bagel top and bottom were complete mush, disgusting. Chicken was pilled on in a way made it impossible to eat even if bagel was able to be picked up. had a few bites of the chicken with my fingers, threw the sandwich away. Inedible. Waste of $10+.

Excelent bagels. Don’t know if they are the best in town but they sure are with a visit. Tried the smoked salmon and the New Yorker you can see the photos. For an European, dizes are too big. You can store half to eat later.

I’m not a fan of bagels or beigels. So when my Gf said want to have one for breakfast, a big sigh followed with a defeated nod. But this place proved me wrong on many levels. The line is crazy but it’s pretty fast to get your order. I ordered that scallion cream cheese which is recommended from Yelp users, and one cheddar&ham spread. Oh, I forgot to grab their breakfast special, so I had to get in line and order it again. But it’s all worth it. Fantastic meal. Couldn’t finish 3 beigels, so I brought a leftover. I ate it the next day and it’s still fantastic. Bon apetit!

Their line is always out of the door. Everything is always fresh, if ordered for delivery, our office on same block, we get it within 20 mins of delivery.

When in New York you can'y but try the famous bagel. We were recommended to try this place which only has one table so I decided to grab my order and get to the hotel to enjoy breakfast. There will be a queue in front of the shop but it moves pretty much fast. I ordered two kinds of Bagels. One filled with eggs, turkey and cheese the other filled with cream cheese and salmon. Both were fantastic and super tasty. Generously filled and adequately warmed. The Bagels were incredibly soft. Prices are fair and affordable for the quality you receive.

Truly no complaints except always crowded (because they are sooo good) dont be discouraged line moves fast.. sandwich prep guys are fast ! BAGELS are good size and FRESH!!!!! everyday . Salads are very good. and service has always been good. Potatoe Leek soup is delicious. never had the dessert ?? but always looks sooooo good. A little over priced but well worth the $$

We’ve seen the movie Elf – we know what it means when a place says they’re the “best” at something, fortunately, this place might actually have done it. Best Bagels and Coffee was full, and we mean full of locals. It wasn’t flashy, but it was organised and clearly operated like a well oiled machine.

When in New York, you can try their very famous bagel which are so amazing and out of the world.
There would a a queue outside the shop but it rather moves quickly, so don't let the waiting and lines disappoint you.

Ambience 3/5: It's a very popular place which is small and one gotta pick their Bagel and eat it at some less crowded place and enjoy it. There isn't any luxurious sitting which they compensate by a luxuriously filled bagel.

Service 4/5: It's a small place with long queues, but the staff is very efficient and the lines move pretty quickly. Service is good, fast and very professional.

Food 4.5/5: These are the best bagel in NYC, baked-on-site with so many varieties of huge oversized bagels, filings and sauces. If you order "Everything Bagel" then be prepared for people to smell you while coming and going as they have a very strong aroma and flavoring.
We ordered two kinds of bagels, one filled with eggs, turkey and cheese while the other was filled with cream cheese and salmon. Both were fantastic and super tasty , generously filled and adequately warmed. The coffee was normal and nothing great.
Highly recommend whole wheat everything bagel, toasted with cream cheese and smoked salmon.

Value for money4/5: Bagel are not expensive and won't burn a hole in your pocket.

This place lives up to its name "Best Bagel & Coffee" , It's a must try folks !!!

Great texture and chew to the bagel. We got an egg and cheese bagel with a coffee to walk around Times Square. The bagels are wrapped for travel and service is fast and accurate. Very good!

This place is great! the bagels are always fresh and the sandwich are delicious. theres always a long line but its well worth it. Its a great spot to pick up breakfast.

I've never been a big bagels fan and these did not change my mind. Got the eggs and taylor ham bagel. Both the ham and the eggs are really nice but there wasn't any type of spread so the whole thing was kind of dry and bland. Really not sure if it was worth the price or the wait.
Meeateor
Great texture and taste in their bagels, and a super efficient and courteous crew. Definitely one of the Best Bagel(s). They do regular coffees with milk, which for what they are (quick, unfrothed and ready to go) are pretty good!

We come here every visit to New York. The line is long but it's fast & efficient. We love the Bacon & egg in a bagel, but tge range of bagels and filling options bring us back for more.

The Smoked Salmon in cream cheese that we ordered was awesome, I find it best partner with hot chocolate since the smoked salmon was a bit salty! We went back again to try it again. No doubt it's one of the best bagel in NYC.

Long queue but very fast transaction. Don't forget to put this in your food trip.

Absolutely amazing bagel sandwiches. The chicken cordon bleu is unreal... Three pounded out handmade breaded chicken breast slices, prosciutto, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on an everything (or your choice) fresh made bagel. STFU, it was awesome and inexpensive to boot.
Salsadreea
Quite possibly the best bagel, don't know about the coffee though.

These folks are making everything on the premises and they're making it fresh.

I thoroughly enjoyed my bagel and would highly recommend it. Sure there's not much space to sit down to eat but if you can hold off eating your bagel, you could walk to Herald Square to enjoy it.
Peachgirl
The bagels were huge! And they were warm and chewy with a ton of cream cheese for less than $5. The bacon and cheddar cream cheese was AMAZING! Great value and quick service at Best Bagels & Coffee and it's only a block away from Penn Station.
