Review Faicco's Pork Store - New York City

We got there 5 minutes to close. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and took and made our sub. This is a deli / meat market. Amazingly clean and organized store. Sandwiches are made to order. My wife and i had the chicken pesto sub, which was more than enough to split. We loved it. We definitely go back there to enjoy another sandwich.

Excellent Italian sandwich. One of the best delis I've been to. Very fast and friendly service. High quality, fresh ingredients piled high and many great options.

This place has to be the best Italian Deli in Manhattan. I've had several sandwiches from here & they all were of this caliber. You have to try Faicco's. You will not be disappointed!

Literally the BEST sandwiches in NYC. They have been around since 1900 and know what they are doing. If you are in Manhattan you have to come here. I also want to say that the staff here is AMAZING. They are super nice and fast! From the time you order your sandwich to the time they are done making it is maybe 3 mins total. That’s how fast they are. The sandwiches are huge and made with the freshest ingredients. It’s a deli style so no place to sit and eat but perfect to take the sandwich on the go. I highly recommend this spot.

If you're looking for a delicious sandwich (as well as a bicep workout) then Faicco's is the place to go. These sandwiches are not only MASSIVE but also extremely delicious. I've tried both the Italian as well as the Chicken Pesto and they were both amazing (but I think I liked the pesto more...) The only gripe I have is that the sandwiches used to be around $15-$18 dollars pre-COVID and now the prices have gone up. Not a dealbreaker by any means because the sandwiches are very large but who doesn't want to pay less!

I take it these sandwiches are made for construction workers or giants. One or the other. The sandwiches are massive and delicious. Ordered the Italian specialty with hot peppers and the flavours came together so well especially with the sweet and hot peppers combined. It even held up the next day as I could only eat half in one sitting.

The sandwiches are big, it will fill you up for the day. It was packed on the day i was there, but the service is fast. There are many options to choose from. And they have a butcher shop there also.

Got the chicken parmesan with pesto, $21. It is a warm sandwich. Flavor was good, chicken was tender. 8.5/10, maybe even a 9. I also tried the Italian special; chicken parm was definitely better. Italian special I give a 7/10.

I found this place in a foodie article of the best hoagies in NYC. The Italian Special is awesome. It could be two meals. Packed with quality meats and cheese. Great bread. Great history. And a great selection of other sandwiches and such.

Amazing! Got the Italian Special for $21 and fast service on a Saturday evening. They give you a huge portion that will last more than one sitting. I added mayo. You can also create your own combination that's not on the menu. Only thing I'd say is I have tasted a better (juicier) mozzarella and (sweeter) peppers from a Bronx Italian shop but those are just my taste buds, I like sweet and salty. I think $15 may be a more reasonable price based on size. The meats/cold cuts were excellent, I'll be returning.

One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Pesto, mozz, chicken cutlet, & added vodka sauce was unbelievable. Portions were massive and the environment in the deli was amazing!

Fantastic new discovery for me. Just wanted to wander along Bleeker street on this visit back to NYC. Went in here for a sandwich. Guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. Helped me pick what i wanted for lunch and put up with me when I kept telling him I wanted tomatoes when what I really wanted was peppers. Fantastic sandwich. Will return on all trips back home.

Undoubtedly the best sandwich I’ve ever tried! I ate the chicken pesto and my mom had the smoke ham roasted pork! They are HUGE, fresh and delicious. We only managed to eat half though so it might be a great idea to share. I will certainly be recommending this spot to friends and fam.

This little jewel is in a quaint area. We made it a point to go eat here and were not disappointed. The sandwiches were delicious, with tasty meats and freshly baked breads. The deli/butcher shop has no interior seating, so we took our huge sandwiches and ate on a bench just down the sidewalk. There is also a lovely little park down the street where many people were having their lunch break. It's worth a trip to Greenwich Village to visit this place.

Being a foodie, i can say that today was one of the best days of my life 😌
Today, i took a food walking tour around Greenwich area in NYC.
Our second stop was Faicco's. As per our tour guide's advice, we ordered their famous deep fried risotto balls. A real risotto mixed with 4 types of cheeses and deep fried.
The external texture was crunchy yet soft. The inside was full of tasty risotto flavor. The two taste and sound great, but not when mixed together. I personally did not like it much. Try it yourself and share your thought!

Best sandwich in NYC.

Such an amazing experience walking into this place. Order your meat, your extras and off you go.

I had a prosciutto roll almost every day of our trip. Their servings are so generous and the meat is excellent quality. The pork cutlet schnitzel was also great.

(Make sure you get them to toast it!!)

The service is that classic Italian New York butcher service you'd expect, the guys working there are super friendly and engaging.

Rice Balls and Sopresatta (Italian Salami). Delicious
The Good Grub
Faicco's = Good Grub. Is there really anything better than cold cuts stacked four fingers high? … What if it was a massive pile of Italian cold cuts? … Kick it up, what if it was an ungodly amount of New York Italian cold cuts? … And now we call this the topper's topper … because my Good Grub compatriots, it's about time you had one of Faicco's Italian Specialties' stacked-to-the-sky, New York Italian cold cut sandwiches in all its cured, smoky, salty, savory goodness.

Roaming around NYC, stomach grumbling for some GRUB I met up with some family in the West Village to take a little stroll through Italian food heaven. As we approached the deli, a giant pig adorned sign welcomed us to a 100 year old tradition of sausage and italian specialties. The inside was sensation overload … rows and rows of Italian delights, a deli case loaded with meats and cheeses, and an overall sense of "this is what Grubbing in New York is all about."

I approached the counter with my partners in deliciousness, GRUB-Aunt Caren B. and GRUB-cousin Justin B., took it all in, and with my mouth overflowing with anticipation, did my best to clearly give out my order. I went with their Italian Special. Sometimes "special" means the short bus, and mittens pined to your jacket in the summer time, and thinking "How I Met Your Mother" is a good show … but I've come to realize in the world of GRUB, that it's really the only way to go.

What I ended up with was a giant, forearm-long, sesame-crusted, fresh-baked, Italian role jammed pack with ham, capicola, soppressata, prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, tomato, and oil and vinegar … aka … Heaven. As my teeth pierced through the beast-from-the-east, I almost had to hold back the laughter at how ridiculously good this sandwich was.

Everything about Faicco's screamed authentic, old-school, Italian deli. From the over-loaded shelves of tomato sauce, to the expansive deli case, to the potential Italian mobster customer who almost went Sunny Corleone on my camera as I took a picture with him in the background … it was all, as great Ron Burgundy would say, Unique New York. And you know what … the arsonist did have oddly shaped feet. And now I have to go watch Anchor Man. Super duper!

But even more so, I need to go find a fixin' of delicious Italian subs. Seriously, what time is the next flight to New York? I think they'd tag me going through security … this wild look of excitement on my face, muttering "capicola" repeatedly under my breadth … but wouldn't a four hour hold up by TSA and a six hour flight over to JFK be worth that overwhelming, heaping helping of GRUB? Yeah … I agree. So, meet me at curbside check-in? Until next time my GRUB friends … stay meaty.

Faicco's. A pork store with the best rice balls ever; what's not to like?
Let them whip you up a heo in the back with their amazing meats, you won't be let down.

Fantastic sweet Soppressata!

As I know I have little time, I went for what I know and bought several risotto balls for us to snack on. As I stand by the corner of Bleecker and Cornelia St, I was savoring each cheesy bite. Just like on my first try, I wish they have this store in Toronto (insert deep sigh + huge grin…lol)
