I want to eat at Cafe Nero every day but unfortunately my budget does not allow such indulgences. Fried Green Tomatoes with Remoulade sauce, that is all. I mean that is not all there are tons of super tasty items on their menu but I am a sucker for Fried Green Tomatoes and Cafe Nero makes some of the best.

This is a lovely breakfast spot. The "early bird special" basic breakfast is delicious and a bargain. Good coffee, or you can have barista-brewed latte, espresso or cappuccino...We enjoy the ambience of the neighborhood as well. We are locals who live 5 blocks away...

Judy. My son treated me to a birthday brunch, and it was fabulous!! I ordered Mawmaw's Garden Quiche, my daughter had the Not Yo Mama's Cornbread, and my son had the Grits and Gre'ad (sp?)....oh my gosh! It was soooo good!! Anyway, the servfice was wonderful.....all the waiters seemed to really enjoy their jobs there! I look forward to going back to NOLA and the Cafe Nero!!!!

Hidden gem. A few weeks ago in the Marigny I popped into Who Dat Coffee Cafe. While waiting for my cup to go, I noticed an adjoining dining room. Cafe Nero had no sign, no web site, and no advertisements.

I came back today with my friend Doug. I ordered the Marigny -- shrimp and crab meat tossed in a secret remoulade-ish sauce. It was served open-faced on grilled ciabatta bread over a garnish of fresh baby greens. For $12, this was enormous, and very tasty.

I ordered well, but Doug ordered even better. The Not Yo Mama's Cornbread ($10) was utterly unique to my experience. A generous brick of moist jalapeno cornbread covered in a creamy egg sauce and topped with lots of cheese and bacon bits. If that sounds like a hot mess, it is, but in a good way. Doug let me sample it, and we agreed it was excellent.

In a typical New Orleans moment, a woman the next table over got involved in our conversation. She insisted I taste her Da Mandeville omelet -- three eggs, green onion, onion, cheddar, bacon, sausage, with a web of unique remoulade drizzled on top. Add a side of fresh fruit included and it was a near perfect omelet.

My new friend told me how she had moved to New Orleans the day she graduated from college, in the 1950s. She knew not a soul in town, but she was certain this was the place for her. She must have been right, because she never left. She was an interior decorator, who had been commissioned by the Brennan family to decorate Commanders Palace. They had sent her to New York City to research other fine restaurants. She said she dined at 72 places in New York in a few weeks, and not one was as good as Commanders.

I bet not many served much nearly as creative as Cafe Nero either.

I can't wait to go back here!

Love this spot. Always passed by but never went in. Only got Banana bread and coffee. Have to say the Banana bread was best I have tasted outside of my mom's. Fresh and delicious. The interior design is so colorful and inviting. Plenty of seating also. I do want to have some savory dishes on a different day soon.

One of my two favorite coffee shops in New Orleans! The other, Treme, has spectacular espresso but Who Dat has them beat in the food and service department hands down! Our party of three ordered crab cakes benedict, fancy quiche with crab and shrimp, and a veggie omelette. This breakfast can’t be beat, yall. You could go wait an hour in line at Molly’s if you really wanna do the tourist thing, but trust me the food here is much better!

This is a great corner coffee shop with coffees, tees, cocktail coffees, breakfasts, fruit and baked goods. Huge variety. Incredibly friendly staff. Found it second day of vacation and went back at least 4 times.

It was a vibe food was good I had like a egg omelet pie and the corn cakes I wish they would've had the option to add oysters in the omelet other than that everything was candy 🏁✨️

We stopped by for an early lunch on a Sunday. Place was pretty busy, mostly local crowd. There was a bit of a wait, but as soon as the food came out, you could definitely tell it was made fresh to order. Burger and Patty Melt were huge and tasty! It's one of those things that you shouldn't eat all at once, but you do. We opted for the side salad with the red pepper vinaigrette. Sooo good!

This spot was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Warm welcome. Food was awesome and extra points for the biscuits and homemade jelly. I also had a Irish Almond Russian and a Latte, flavored to perfection. We enjoyed this cozy cafe .
