I lived down the street from Ale for three years and absolutely loved the place. The setup is perfect. I describe it to my friends as "A casual bar on one side with great beers on tap, and then a nice wine/cocktail bar on the other side, connected by a patio between the two." They have something for everyone at Ale or Wine, no matter what you drink. They also have one of the best burgers in the city and you can quote me on that. I love going to Ale to watch a Pelicans games on one of their many TVs, and they open early for Tulane and LSU games sometimes too. The staff is very friendly and provide great service. Also the bathrooms are always clean. There are all sorts of people that come to Ale, whether they are locals, couples on a casual first date, a local business having a staff party, or a group of friends grabbing a drink before a show at the Maple Leaf.

Super cute place. One side is more casual and the other is more restaurants style to it. They have a good happy hour with wine and beer. And according to my cousin the Frankfurt sandwich he has was amazing! Definitely worth a visit

$1 off on pints Thursday and Friday, 5-7. Can't beat that. Very chill patio with plentiful quiet TVs. Fantastic beer selection (as the name 'Ale on Oak' would suggest).

Love the patio space! I had a cocktail which was very good. Also serve a cider option and some hard seltzer's if you don't like beer or are GF. Did not wander next door to the wine spot connected to it, but looked cool in there too!

Awesome place for some most excellent brews and some great bar food. The bbq wings are probably the best in town- they have plenty of sauce and add green onions and red onions to give it a flavorful addition. The barkeeps are truly interested in your specific beer tastes and take the time to make recommendations. Great patio with plenty of big tvs to watch sports. It's a rather small place, but it offers tremendous enjoyment.

We just love this place. Great little hidden jem Uptown. Great food, great drinks and stellar staff. Big tvs for sports and events, nice little courtyard for outside activities and a wonderful beer selection on tap and in bottles. Stop in if you are in the area.

Great selection of beers on tap. Always a view of a TV. Outdoor socially distanced seating available. Smaller crowds during LSU games this year to my delight.

Alle on oak is a cool place to hang out for a couple of beers and maybe get a snack. They have a great selection of craft beers, including a bunch of local ones, and whiskey. Seating is nice indoors and outdoors, good service, relaxed atmosphere. The outdoors join with the wine place next door, so if you have a mixed crowd (beer-wine folks) this is a great choice.
