Rare Form is the hidden gem of Frenchmen Street! Never a cover charge, and never as crowded as the other bars on Frenchmen. The live music is phenomenal! The Steve Mignano Band plays some incredible blues rock every Saturday night. Probably the best guitarist in the French Quarter which says a lot considering the musical talent in NOLA! The bartenders Casey and Patrick are awesome, both really friendly & easygoing which really adds to the vibe of this place. You feel like you're among friends, no attitudes like you'll find at some of the Bourbon bars. Drink prices are very reasonable for some strong drinks! The food menu changes often but I've eaten here several times and it's been very good with minimal wait time! Weekends feature jazz brunches with bottomless mimosas! I really can't say enough great things about this bar. By far my favorite in Frenchmen!!!
Always great food, service and live music! A great place to relax out in the courtyard with family and friends. The red beans and rice is amazing along with a cold Abita Boot! Always the place we go to when we get in town!

One of my FAVORITE LOCAL BARS to attend! I'm here every week esp on. Weekends! Definitely a "local" spot with local LIVE music ! Casey and Patrick are AMAZING BAR TENDERS!! they ACTUALLY CARE that your Frenchman and LOCAL experience experience is as best as possible! Drinks are CHEAP, NO COVER, AND A LOCAL COURTYARD EXPERIENCE to fit a LOCAL and visitor's needs! This is a MUST COME to if you enjoy LOCAL, CHEAP DRINKS, LIVE, AND NO COVER EXPERIENCE!!!!! Y'ALL visitors MUST see Frenchman St yourselves to fully grasp a New Orleans culture and experience!!!
Great music. Punk rock and garage bands. When you need a break from jazz here in NOLA.
Amazing patio, great food and drinks, reasonably attractive bartenders
This place is fantastic for brunch! Sitting outside at one of the tables listening to music from live performers and musicians that are outside is unbeatable. The food is pretty damn good and I believe they have bottomless mimosas and Deals like that. I don't drink but I saw a lot of people walking around with champagne.
Lovely venue, good music and food, friendly relaxed fun place to be
This place is the BEST! Great music, ambience and amazing service. I lost a very important and valuable ring dancing the night away after a wedding, and the bartender got back to me within the hour to return it the following day. That's a first! Thank you Rare Form.
Great local music, fantastic beer list, wonderful bartenders. That bread pudding is my soulmate.
This was absolutely the coolest laid back comfortable bar on Frenchman. I went on a Saturday at 11am and stayed until 3pm when we had to run for a flight and the crawfish boil was amazing. They cook it right in front of the patio and although I've been to Nola three times, it was the first I felt like I was truly in the heart and soul of what New Orleans is all about.
Tuesday and Google says they're closed. Followed my ear to a piano and harmonica. Same guy playing both! Talent, oh yeah. From Czech Republic, sounds like from down the street. Great! A couple beers, some hummus, nice tunes, a great afternoon.

It was a fun night out with the girls! I got to catch an all male review when I went that evening. It was pretty good except for the fact that the staff inside the establishment was rude, but the staff that was attending the outside bar was quite enjoyable. Had it not been for him, I wouldn't have given as high a rating.
