Ruby did a great job serving up some great food! My fave is ribs and baked beans! She guided me to the right beer and explained all the sauces!

Their cornbread is heavenly … honestly some of the best I’ve had. I understand the owner is a professional chef and it’s his own personal recipe. Well done, chef. It’s delicious!

Delicious bbq with some really great options. They’ve also got an extensive local beer menu that pairs really well with all the meats. I wish I had more stomach space to keep eating. I got the brisket and ribs, super tender and moist. It’s exactly what you’re looking for in your bbq. The service was great and our waitress made sure we were taken care of. There’s outdoor seating with tv so not a bad place for game days in warm weather. Will definitely be making my way back

The service was fantastic, right from searing, to food, drinks and payment. Did I mention the amazing food! So good. Have the 3 meat platter. Did not disappoint! Thanks. - A seasoned Alberta beef man

Brisket: the brisket was sliced, slightly cold, and lean. If you're used to high quality high end brisket, you'll be disappointed. But for New Orleans, it's not bad. Pulled pork: it's a little dry, and pretty lean. Same thing as the brisket - if you're expecting the best you've ever had, you'll be disappointed. But it's serviceable for New Orleans. Brussel Sprouts: they're on trend with the crispy Brussels with sweet sauce, but the execution wasn't great. They were a little mushy. Corn Bread: on point, delicious with that honey butter. They are very crumbly though. Service: my server was great. Attentive, nice, professional. They had a hist, which was nice. Ambience: plenty of seating for lunch. The AC worked great. The place looked clean, smelled good, decent background music. They have free WiFi. Other: the BBQ sauce was very good. The meat plate came with exactly two pickles and onion slices and one piece of dry white sliced bread. Pickles were standard Sysco type. Onions were raw, pretty standard. All in all, it's a solid neighborhood BBQ spot but I wouldn't travel far to get the experience.

I don’t remember coming here, and I don’t really remember what I ordered honestly, but looking back at these pictures I’m wondering about the next time I can come back to New Orleans and eat here again!! Tell me that pulled pork sandwich with horse radish cream sauce doesn’t look absolutely amazing. Now that I’m looking at it, I do remember it, and it was amazing. Be back there soon!

My oh my, what an incredible dining experience!!! No one does BBQ like Frey. The ribs here— DELICIOUS! The pulled pork may be some of the best I’ve ever had, and you can’t go wrong with the brisket either. The cornbread is also a must have! If you’re looking for a burger I’d recommend the half and half, it’s my dad’s absolute favorite. I thought I was done, but I have to say something about their shakes. These guys are giant and almost look too good to eat!!! Such a good treat to end the meal.

The hot honey chicken is where it’s at. Absolutely incredible and that’s with the coleslaw and the aioli taken off. (I then put the aioli on and it made it just as good too). The fries leave nothing to be desired UNTIL you had that brisket chili on top, then the fries went from meh to MINE. The pulled pork was ok and got a little bit better once I added a bunch of bbq and sriracha aioli to it. (I’ve yet to find a pulled pork sandwich that’s truly impressed me). Last and certainly least, was the max and cheese. The presentation was great but I wasn’t impressed by it at all. DEFINITELY COME HERE AND GET THAT HOT HONEY CHICKEN SANDWICH THOUGH.
