Pj's Coffee

PJ‘s coffee & snacks as well als the staff never disappoint - also the prices are more reasonable than in other coffee shops (though, also PJ’s is no bargain). What clouded my experience with this PJ‘s in particular, was the payment system with the QR code. I ordered one day before at another PJ‘s that did not have this system - don’t know if this is something special for this store, but it’s worthy of improvement in my humble opinion. First, the system would‘t accept my Apple Pay - even after trying several times. Thus, instead of enjoying my tasty coffee and bagel, I had to initially fight PJ‘s IT-system by trying several times and eventually - after giving up - entering all my credit card information by hand. Secondly, while doing this chore, I felt like this is not my task, job, and responsibility to cash up (what comes next, I brew my own coffee?). The bartender I asked for help just told me „sometimes it’s slow - wait some time“. Thirdly, unlike other payment systems (even in other PJ‘s stores), they pre-pick a tip for the customer. One does not see several %- or Skip-Buttons, as usual - but a $-tip is automatically added. As a customer, I felt like this is a attempt to outsmart/trick me.
