Great bar food. I had the Shrimp po boy and it was good. Killer fries were good too. Cool dive bar right off Bourbon. Service was friendly. Great find!
I would say Alibi is one of the best local dives in the French Quarter and open 24/7 so you can grab some solid bar food anytime. Try the "Killer" fries. Shrimp Po Boy was good, too.
Drinks are great! Def a local spot! Downside is people can smoke inside.
Don't order the fried mushrooms...waste of money! But the shrimp po' boys would be perfection if the bread was actual French bread. Overall, a great place with no wait when the rest of NOLA seems to have to wait over an hour for a seat!!
Great hangout for locals in the Quarter. Burgers and eggrolls ROCK! Dive bar with few tourists and lots of F&B workers....I'm in!
Good Food+24hrs!. Best fries in the FQ, other food is pretty decent (traditional bar food) and they also have a heck of a beer selection (Framboise!). They deliver= bonus!
Dive bar off Bourbon.. If you are just a regular, everyday person looking to grab a beer or drink or maybe just need a place to kick back after working in the Quarters and don't want to deal with the tourist vibe then this would be your place. Nothing fancy, it's just a dark bar only illuminated by the ambient light from the 3 flat screen tv's and the neon beer signage lights that serves a decent burger. I had the Alibi burger with fries, the burger had good flavor, like it was char-grilled, a little dry, the fries were those preseasoned friese which I loathe. Overall not bad.
Pros: Decent bar food, open late. Cons: It's in the Quarters.
After Hours B(ar) A(nd) R(estaurant) E(mployee) hangout? You know it's good!. Seriously - I came in from out of town (typical). Someone in the hospitality industry in Pensacola told me about this place and he was right on. I'm a late eater so I was delighted to wander in at 1:30 a.m., get an awesome burger, and be surrounded by other bar and restaurant employees while I ate. I was right at home!
Great local dive bar. Friendly bartender. A lot of the service industry finds themselves here after work which I loved talking to about the different hotels an restaurants. Average priced drinks , clean bar and fun people . We did not eat anything so can't say anything on food. Each time we have stopped in over the years there has been a mix of tourists and locals.
Hole in the wall dive bar. Service was fast and friendly. Excellent spicy margarita! Great prices for right on bourbon street. They have a fun dice game as well.
Great dive bar. Rachel was awesome. Get the 32oz Hurricaine or the Bloody Mary, both were great. We'll be back!
Some of the food is tasty while the others can be weak. None of it is fancy but it can hit the right spot when you are in the mood for it. They do have a really good beer selection and it is close enough to bourbon street but far enough it doesn't garner the crazy crowds.
I can personally recommend the hot sausage. Throw some mayonnaise and hot sauce on it and you are good to go.
Everything I want from a dive bar at 1am. Good food, friendly and fast service. 10/10
Bartender and owner were so accommodating. Really enjoyed ourselves. We actually came back at end of the evening. Try the infused bloody Mary vodka and the vodka lemonade!
We just happened upon this little local bar on one of our nights during our last trip to New Orleans! We loved it so much, we went back everyday to start our day with a Bloody Mary and a Loyal for my husband. Laura is phenomenal, she remembered we liked the Loyals and greeted us everyday with knowing our order. They have good food too! If you're looking for a dimly lit, local New Orleans bar, with great service, good cocktails, and an option for food, find the Alibi! We know we will be back.
Awesome little bar off the beaten path. Large cocktail variety
They have touch tunes
Sam, transplant from New Jersey, is an coolest and personal bartender we've met. She's phenomenal!!
Good bar service and strong drinks. Just a short distance from Bourbon street.
Several large screens with sports. For me, if they would play music instead of sportscasters it would make everyone happy.
This is a dive bar just off of bourbon known for solid food 24/7 and frequented by local service industry workers after their shift (and sometimes before or during their shift....).
It can get a little crazy at times like all of bourbon street so if you are patient you can enjoy strong drink, solid food, and friendly service.
