We had a nice meal. I had the Chicken Tchoupitoulas without the Shrimp due to an allergy. The waitress questioned my request but did ensure no shrimp was in the food. My partner had the BLT sandwich. It was a large sandwich (foot long) with fries. He could not eat it all. Quaint place and known for it's fried chicken. We did not get a chance to try this though.

We asked a local for a fried chicken recommendation, and they insisted on Coop's Place. The chicken did not disappoint, and the house-made green goddess dressing that we had on a salad was an unexpected favorite!

We got the sampler plate and the jambalaya, definitely the fried chicken and the jambalaya are reasons to come back. The rest of the sampler including the gumbo was ok

This was the first time my husband and I ate at Coop's. I'm craving the fried chicken right now!! The Fried chicken was one of the best I have ever had, and I've had a lot of fried chicken. I had the fried shrimp to start and that was awesome!! I knew that shrimp was made in house. We had red beans and rice with the chicken and that was excellent. Have the gumbo also. Yum!!!

We had the sampler plate (started with seafood gumbo, jambalaya, chicken). Great food all around. The lamb ribs were unbelievably tender. Melted in your mouth as soon as you bit into it. The seafood gumbo brought a nice, homely heat that opened up my stomach for the ribs and later, the jambalaya supreme. The supreme was packed with rabbit, pork, shrimp to start. (There was something else, but I cannot remember as this is the afternoon after). Hands down, a MUST TRY at this establishment. My only qualm is that they ran out of the cookbook, but that just means business is booming. The staff were also very cordial with their southern hospitality and made us feel more than welcomed. I shall revisit this place on my next trip down to NOLA.

We spent the week in the French Quarter and despite all the amazing food options, found ourselves coming back to Coop’s again and again. Fun atmosphere, fast service, great mixed drinks, and truly *incredible* food. Try the fried chicken and jambalaya…and the redfish meunière…and the blackened…never mind, just order everything, it’s all delicious.

Service was super fast and friendly. Ms. Laura was awesome. This place will have a line 20 people deep at busy times. The gumbo had 4 shrimp but 2 of them were not "cleaned." The flavor was good and spicy. The place with the shrimp creole got the chicken soggy because the creole was watery. 2 of the 3 pieces of fried chicken were overcooked because they were small and the big piece was cooked perfectly. Good flavor on the big piece after getting rid of the burnt taste. Most of the food had a good flavor but not everything could be eaten. I'm sure we could come back and have a better experience next time.

Excellent, friendly wait staff/ bartender. Very helpful with my food selection ( I'm a vegetarian), delicious veggie burger, amazing hand cut fries. My wife enjoyed the gumbo & rabbit jambalaya, Shrimp Creole & especially enjoyed the fried chicken, she said it was exactly the way she remembered it in the 1990s. Highly recommend.
