Had a lovely dinner at Josephine Estelle. The food was truly amazing. I had a Caesar and two small plates, the carrots and beets, as well as their meatballs, which are legendary. My husband had a salad and the scallops. The apple tart for dessert was out of this world. Wine list was limited, but choices were outstanding. Atmosphere is festive with high ceilings and an active bar scene, if a little loud. Service was good, perhaps a little understaffed. Staff was dressed in "black casual" which didn't really match the diners. The hotel the restaurant is in also has a separate bar of the "dark, clubby, trendy" variety. Make a reservation. We would definitely return!

I’ve been to Josephine Estelle a few times. The Ace Hotel is a vibe and I prefer moody venues. On this night I was going to a DC Paul show at Three Keys (check out his Instagram for weekly events) and decided to grab a bite at the bar. This was the best ravioli I’ve ever had in my life. The broth was rich and light (I didn’t know that combo was possible). The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I sat at the bar and those bar stools are VERY uncomfortable. I would have ordered more food if I had been sitting somewhere else tbh.

Lovely food, decent service and a chic atmosphere as expected at the ace hotel. All of our food and our drinks were great, with the exception of the ceaser salad which is just leaves, a couple of croutons and cheese.
Great spot if you are looking for a chic date spot, a birthday or like us if you are at the hotel, it’s worth going one eve.

Great spot for dinner with a crowd, with shareable small plates and pastas.
But recently, we actually had a surprisingly great brunch as well. Breakfast burger with bacon and fries was a perfect start to a morning of tailgating.

Delicious Chopped Salad and Pesto Pasta. The atmosphere is special! The restaurant is located in the Ace Hotel. It's a very old historic building brought back to its former glory! Delightful get away!

We had a great meal and experience here. Was not crowded on a Friday night. Megan was our server and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. All the dishes were excellent. Tuna app was awesome. Gluten free pasta very good. Tried the chick and the duck for mains and they were both great.

The food and drinks were so fun for celebrating. The ambience feels like Nola and his s a wonderful representation of the city. The only drawback is the timing. We had a reservation and were asked to come early, we did, but still waited over 20 minutes. The table service was slow too.

Stopped by for brunch. Ordered a martini espresso, and it was decent. My martini glass had a small chip in it. The seasonal beignets was excellent!!. They were nice and warm, not too hot, and the strawberries were sweet. For the main dish iPad Italian shrimp and grits. The flavor was really good; the right amount of spices and the grits were flavorful. Only complaint is that I had a few hard chunks of grits in my grits. The customer service was just ok.

We enjoyed our meal and our waiter was great! I had the Amalfi 75 cocktail w lemoncello and hubs had a vodka martini. Only complaint was that the glasses were small like the champagne type from grandmas collection. Could be more of a martini type! We enjoyed the focaccia bread with burrata cheese and a beef carpaccio. Both were excellent! We shared a rigatoni entre and it was plenty for us! Wish they would have split the entree in separate bowls before serving but not too big of a deal. Dessert was a peanut butter parfait that was delish. Overall was a great dinner and only a couple minutes walk to our hotel La Pavillion

Excellent place for a quick drink. Beautiful interior, but the food was okay. I expected the oysters to be more exotic, but the taste was just okay. My squid ink pasta was tasty. However, the pasta was slightly oversalted, and the clams were overcooked. It's disappointing for the price. I had zero interest in dessert after that.
