This place was delicious from the drinks to the appetizers on down to dessert! We had deviled eggs, Brussel sprouts, bacon horseradish oysters, fish fingers, fried artichokes, red beans and rice with fried chicken and sausage, brownie, and sweet potato pie! Not one single thing sucked! Drinks were also great and the service was great to boot. Will definitely be back.

I've been to the Governor for breakfast -- twice, because the first day was so good I had to try something else on the menu. I loved both meals and the service was great (Michelle day 1, Dominique day 2). The balcony upstairs is delightful.

Love the atmosphere here. It wasn’t super crowded even though it’s in the French quarter. Food was pretty good but I will go back from dinner instead of brunch. The bottomless mimosas are only 12$ which is cheap. The service was great! And the balcony seating was a great touch for a beautiful day.

DELICIOUS food, great prices, and tucked away in a quieter part of downtown. Venture away from Bourbon street to this gem. Our server, Deja Vu, was one of the kindest, most attentive waiters I've experienced in years. Definitely recommended.

Great place, really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. They did a great job making you feel welcome. I ordered the seafood omelet, which was the very best in New Orleans. I highly recommend giving them a try.

You won't leave hungry! Awesome breakfast. Had The Governer's Breakfast with the jambalaya and andouille sausage. It was amazing. Nancy was a wonderfully fun and sweet server! Liked this place so much that we came back for a second time on our trip.

Great food and cold drinks in the shade with a light breeze. Our server was fantastic and gave my wife a recommendation for something she would never have ordered otherwise, it was a hit.

So impressed! My husband and I went for brunch this weekend and really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. Our server was so friendly and attentive. We went around 3pm so I think we just missed the rush. We started with the boudin balls and crab cakes, both very good. They weren’t skimpy with the seafood in the crab cakes. My husband got a salad which I think he enjoyed but mentioned that the shrimp were VERY salty. I tried the Brie with garlic and raw oysters, both great! The bottomless mimosas had a ton of OJ which ended up upsetting my stomach a bit so I could only have 2. We’ll definitely be back though.

We were in town Thursday for a show, it was late and we were famished. Stopped in for two dozen oysters and some cold draft beer. The oysters we had were great, cold and salty. Definitely got a great deal. Our bartender was quick and courteous, couldn't have been a nicer fellow.
