This was a crowded and Lively venue. We were seated in the front of the restaurant by the street on the Bourbon Street side. That allowed for awesome entertainment as we dined, but made it a much louder experience. Our server Mary was absolutely excellent. The food came very quickly for as busy as they were and most things we had were delicious. The turtle soup was the best I ever had but it was the first that I ever had. I tried to buy you sampler which gave a nice selection of New Orleans dishes. I was a little disappointed with the Crawfish etouffee as it still had a raw flour taste, the jambalaya and the gumbo we're very good. We also had the blackend alligator which was delicious and you can't go wrong with a dozen fresh oysters. All in all a place I would return to many times went in town.

The server was very attentive. Once we got him to the table. there was a weight of about 5 minutes for him to get there. he quickly took our drink orders and then brought the food very fast. The turtle soup was very thick and needy. But I was very surprised they didn't offer me Sherri. after asking someone else. They reply that the waiter must have forgotten it.. My wife and I shared the stuffed red fish and it was excellent. The shrimp appetizer had very large shrimp, almost the size of prawns. The reason for marking the atmosphere down is that it is very loud in there. adding acoustic panels would help a lot. also, not seating 4 people next to a large party of 12 that are pretty loud when there are numerous other tables open much further away from them would be a really good idea.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! I have been here twice while staying in NOL because of the quality of Oysters and their great service! As a solo traveler, it could be awkard to sit alone at the bar. However, the professional oyster men kindly talked to me, and their service were just excellent!

We were in New Orleans for a vacation and came across Felix's when on Bourbon Street. With all the amazing food choices in the French Quarter, we found ourselves here three times it was so good. The food was excellent, good service and a nice vibe. It was our favourite place for Oysters and loved the crab as well. There are two very different vibes to this place, the dining room off Bourbon Street and a smaller more diner like room off Iberville but we enjoyed both. The dining room off Bourbon Street can get very loud with the performers on the street.

We had a nice lunch at Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar today. Felix’s does not take reservations but we had no trouble getting in. The service was very friendly but not as attentive as might have been. The Felix Special, half shrimp and half oyster PoBoy was great. I will definitely return.

Tried the chargrilled oysters for the first time and felt in love with it! The fresh oysters were amazing, jambalaya (warm and delicious!!!). Everything was really good and the service was excellent!! A must go if you visit New Orleans 👌🏽

A standout restaurant in a city filled with good food. Felix’s has the recipe for the proper New Orleans dining experience. Food and drinks came out fast, perfectly cooked, and flavor for days. The true success of this establishment is in the service. You will be well taken care of and the staff are attentive and love to make you feel welcome.

Excellent experience at Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar! We were very fortunate that they accommodated our group and we were lucky enough to be seated on the 2nd floor balcony over Bourbon Street where we could take in all the atmosphere that the French Quarter has to offer. Food was AMAZING! Of course the raw oysters were 1st class! Special thanks to Nannette and Steve for outstanding service!

Update: We were shocked that our review got such a quick response from the management. Will, the assistant manager got to the bottom of our issues and invited us back to ensure our experience was satisfactory. From the moment we arrived, Ty took care of our every need and had great recommendations. Sean, the manager on duty, also took time out of his busy night to make sure everything was up to par. The oysters were exactly what we've raved to all of our friends in SLC about. I forgot our waiter's name, but he was on the ball with everything without making us feel rushed with our meal. Ty recommended the fried bread pudding and it was amazing! Although it could possibly have been the straw that broke the camel's back as we waddled back to our room after dinner. Once again, thanks to everyone at Felix's and they went above and beyond what was necessary. We were excited to have the char grilled oysters at Felix's since our last visit a few years ago. Over the past few years we've raved about them and couldn't wait to come back again. Sadly, our experience today was rather disappointing. Of course we ordered the char grilled oysters plus blackened gulf shrimp with asparagus and snap peas and new potatoes. The taste of the oysters were what we loved from our previous two visits to Felix's, but the size of the oysters were disappointing. Some of the oysters were miniscule. The blackened gulf shrimp was fine, but nothing amazing. The asparagus was tough and didn't include any snap peas. The new potatoes were delicious. Hopefully we just had an isolated experience. We're here for another few days and will try give Felix's another chance to recapture the great memories we had

We ordered the mix of oysters and loved them, mostly the Bienville oysters. The Rockefeller were great too. The jambalaya rice bowl with shrimp was delightfully spicy 😋. We loved the gumbo soup. Definitely it's a place I will return. The service was very accommodating and helpful.
