DELICIOUS. We are from Washington State so I didn’t know what half the menu was but I go the special (Roast Beef Po Boy with red beans/rice and veggies) it was absolutely delicious. The best way I’ve ever eat roast beef in my life and I will not be able to replicate that. If we ever come back into this town it will be specifically for this restaurant. Our waitress was also super lovely and made me feel so comfortable about having a seafood allergy in a seafood capital.

4.5 stars.
Recommended by our tour bus driver. Jambalaya and red beans were good (and good for gluten sensitive).
Sit outside for people-watching if you are able.

The wait was short. The host was awesome. Once seated, our server was quick to get our drinks and food. I had the meatloaf, and all I can say is,"My mama has a run for her money." Love it

I’d say this one is more 4.5 stars because of the service (or lack of). The food is great and is good value for the portions you get. It could just be the seating location we were given by the staircase, but our server took a very long time to come get our order and we had to ask someone to find him to get our check. It was a very souring experience when we really enjoyed the food. If we come back to the area we might give it another try.

On our visit to Magazine St. we passed by Joey K’s and decided to split an appetizer (the seafood and sausage gumbo) which was delicious. We sat at the bar and I had their Pimm’s Cup which was great too. The servers were friendly and attentive and overall the place had a casual laid back atmosphere. We’re glad we passed by and would definitely stop in again the next time we’re in the area.

Really enjoyed this spur of the moment.
We wanted to try and Po Boy but aren't fish eaters particularly. So we managed to get a chicken and a turkey Po boy. Delicious, the Fry's were good too.
