Finally found a noteworthy Italian place on this part of the State. We ordered the mussels sautéed in olive oil with angel pasta, Italian sampler (manicotti, lasagna, parm) and meatballs as a side. The mussels entree was so light, I'd like to replicate that at home. The sampler and meatballs passed my picky Italian hubby. We also ordered their tiramisu and cheesecake. Yum! They have an espresso that reminded me of the ones I had in Rome. I could easily have ordered 2 more. 😊

What a wonderful experience! I can't say enough about how delicious the food is here. Service was outstanding. The timing per dish was perfect. I had the stuffed chicken parmesan with penne pasta. Yummy! My wife and mom had a glass of wine. Both were delicious. The red was dry, but not too dry. The white was sweet, but not too sweet. I don't think this place knows how to make a bad meal. Pricey but well worth it. Enjoy.

I drove out from Ft Liberty for the Tryon Palace Christmas tour. Looked downtown. Nothing looked good and it was overpriced and all were crowed. La Rosa’s was on the way out of town. Found it on Google maps. Rolled the dice. LISTEN PEOPLE! THIS IS THE BEST ITALIAN / SEAFOOD RESTAURANT ON THE NC COAST. People. You need to eat here. The service was great. They had been busy all day and it was evident the waitstaff was beat. Service was great. Food was even better. My party ordered the chicken parm (bussin), the fruitti de mar (straight fire), the Alfredo with shrimp ( best ever) , chicken Marsala, (delish) , portabello ravioli (OMG), and the crab cakes. I had the crabs cakes. I grew up in Baltimore MD. I know good crab cakes. These are not Maryland Crab Cakes. I loved them. I got a side of penne with fresh tomatoes sauce onit. It is chopped tomatoes in olive oil. WOW! The salads and soups were Amazeballs. Bread was fresh. Don’t judge this book by its cover. This place doesn’t waste resources on making it self look too fancy. It focuses on giving you amazing food. It was perfect. Not pretentious. Will make the trip back to New Bern just to eat here again. 13/10 recommend.

Salads and appetizers were good. Marinara sauce was not my favorite, but my husband liked it and he loves anything with marinara. Serving sizes we're large, so we took home leftovers so we were too full for dessert.

I give it a 10 for food and excellent service. We started with french bread hot out of the oven, followed by a perfectly sized salad and then our super yummy entrees. No long wait for anything.Very attentive waitstaff. We even saved room for dessert. The tiramisu was to die for! The only thing I would improve is the inside dated decor as well as some refreshing to the exterior because it doesn't look open.

Food was.absolutely delicious! I had the Chicken Picatta and it took me right back to my childhood. Amazing. The calamari was lightly breaded and not rubbery. The tiramisu was not too sweet and had the perfect amount of coffee flavor.

Calamari wasn't cooked long enough, but both our chicken alfredo pasta and seafood frutti di mare pasta was delicious. Cheesecake wasn't anything homemade, but good. We ordered two caramel cheesecake for pick up, but they gave just one small container less than half full for both. All in all was good. Great service, even though take out.

A delicious dinner with excellent service. The Seafood La Rosa with lobster sauce was amazing. My sister had the crab cakes and said they were delicious and full of crab meat. My husband had the Veal Parmigiano, real veal! We highly recommend this restaurant.

La Rosa is absolutely fabulous! This was our first visit after hearing so many people talking about how great this place is. Quaint atmosphere and delicious food. Courteous and efficient staff. We look forward to our next visit.

Five stars. I’ve been here three years and drive to Raleigh monthly for Italian ingredients, I’ve been searching for a decent Italian restaurant around here to no avail. Somehow I had missed this spot, and I’m sorry I had. The calamari was cooked perfectly, the Alfredo is authentic, which is why some of the reviewers on here do not like it (but I do 😂), my son finished his dinner in record time, I was super impressed. This will absolutely be our go to from now on.
