Whalebone Seafood Market was incredibly clean, and the service was very quick and friendly. Was able to get a little over a pound of large shrimp for $20. This store also carries many sauces and has dessert options. Would recommend for any of your seafood needs.

Fantastic fresh seafood -- I got swordfish steaks, scallops, and oysters and they were all top notch. Really elevated our vacation fare! Grilled the swordfish with corn and served with an avocado salsa.

DELICIOUS! We had 20 people for a wedding and wanted a seafood dinner, but didn't want to go out with this size group. We decided to eat at home and try the steamers from Whalebone Seafood Market. We ordered a Mr. Big, Buffalo City, side of scallops and an extra cornbread. Everyone in my group loved it! I didn't have a favorite, it all was delicious! We also had plenty of food.

Fantastic fresh seafood at great prices! Our first visit we bought fresh to take home and cook-some of the best shrimp I’ve had. After going in we saw their cooked to order family meals at a great price and went back for another order during the week. Food was hot and ready when promised and of course delicious!! And don’t forget to grab a container of their homemade seafood dip. Would definitely recommend!

This is the bomb. Crab legs were steamed, not dipped in hot water. Shrimp was a very nice size, larger than most. Price was the best part.

Tom is the man! A buddy and I went crabbing, and this is one of the only places around that steams them. They threw a healthy amount of Old Bay seasoning to boot. First timers, so they walked us through it all. Also have some delicious sheepshead. Highly recommend.

Ordered lightly seasoned medium steamed shrimp and fresh oysters. Picked them up at reserved time. We were overwhelmed about the variety of seafood that was offered. They also had house made seafood dips that were available for sampling. They were just finishing up the order of shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. They were also huge for medium shrimp. They were the best steamed shrimp that we have ever ordered at the OBX. The raw oysters were very fresh and the guys said that the were very tasty. Whalebone Seafood is our new go to place for steamed and raw seafood.

This is some great fresh fish 🐠 and crab 🦀. They had Dungeness crab, snow crab legs, and whole blue crab that were a great size. Nice sized scallop too. At the time of our visit it was $130 for 1/2 a bushel which was a great market price at the time. They even had hush puppies that were frozen and you warm up in the oven. Great service.

Love this place! The absolute freshest seafood. Scallops were amazing. You must get their homemade crab dip and shrimp dip. Their Key Lime pie was to die for! And to top it off everyone there is so nice!

The shrimp were delicious and huge. The crabs were a decent size for late August. I placed my order over the phone and couldn't have asked for friendlier service.
