Coming from buffalo, we always look forward to having good seafood when we visit Myrtle beach. Nances was recommended so we checked it out and it is now on our list of places we make sure we go to. Service was great, view was breath taking, drinks were worth your money and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I ordered the Steampot for 2 for $50... can’t beat that! From the oysters to the crab legs, shrimp and the clams that came out already opened for us , definitely the best sea food and service we’ve had. It was a perfect amount for 2 people as well. Our dinner there couldn’t have went better!
We had dinner there tonight. Fantastic food and more than enough. We had the steam pot and I couldn’t believe how much food was in it.
Our waitress, Erica, was great. We had lots of questions and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely our new favorite restaurant.
The remodel made it lose its down home/comfy feel. Our food was good once they got our order right but our drinks got messed up too and our waitress acted annoyed everytime we asked for something. Good thing the hush puppies & honey butter are delicious or it wouldn’t be worth the price.
Love this restaurant! The views are beautiful!!! The food is delicious!!! Steam pots have the best claims, oysters, shrimp & crab legs. Hush puppies are amazing!! Service is great!!! This restaurant is a definite go to every time I visit!!
Great Food and People ! We have been going over 10 years. We probably go 20+ times a year and we live 160 miles away. Love all their food, but the local oysters are better than anywhere else. We love the new bar and live music.
This place is well worth the drive from North Myrtle! Beautiful view of Murrells Inlet. Food was fresh and delicious! My guys loved the steam pot! I tried the clams from that dish and they were the perfect briney sweetness. My shrimp basket was excellent! They were Lightly dusted before frying which was a welcome change from the heavy battering that so many of the restaurants in the MB area have. Entertainment was appropriate for the space and quite enjoyable. Try the High Tide cocktail! Overall, superb!
I got the grilled salmon and my husband got the seafood platter. They were both incredible! Easily in the top 5 of green beans I've ever eaten. The baked potato was perfectly cooked. Our server was kind and gave us great attention. We will certainly return!
We had looked forward to roasted oysters for years. They had them and they were wonderful. Wait staff was great.
Amazing food and great staff. We went back in the fall, and the waiter we had that day was great when trying to help to find me something gluten free I’d be able to eat. Also an amazing view. I will be sure to stop in next time we are in town.
As good as its always been... but with a fantastic new updated atmosphere! Long gone are the carpets from my childhood and most of the country kitchen chairs. The tables are new, but still have that familiar "oyster hole" to toss your shells through into the bins. The new bar is beautiful and there's plenty of TVs to watch sports or true crime docs in that area. The servers no longer wear jeans and tee shirts, but are a bit more spiffy now! Make sure to try to get a window table and enjoy the sunset over the creek, and walk out back and onto the marsh walkway. Toss a shrimp to a cat, too. 😉
Arrived as they were opening and were able to get a great table in the bar area looking out over the water but where we could also see TVs to watch Saturday football games. Ordered a double bucket of oysters and fried okra. Hush puppies were also brought to the table. Drawn butter, cocktail sauce, and horseradish were served with the oysters. They were delicious. The server who was also the bartender made great suggestions for a couple of alcoholic beverages which were thoroughly enjoyed. This is a special place.
This is a wonderful local restaurant with great atmosphere and lovely marsh views. The inside has recently been updated and it is cozy and warm. I highly recommend their steam pots--they are a great variety of shellfish that gives you a taste of everything and leaves you feeling satisfied. The staff are all very friendly and the service is generally quick. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Murrell's Inlet or the surrounding area (and of course locals too!).
