Food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing, with hearty portions. Even though we were full before we finished, we still ate anything off the plates because it was delicious. Service is speedy, polite, and helpful. Highly recommended.
Absolutely incredible! Lobster and Grits is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had! Plus a bit of nostalgia for remembering the building used to be a full service gas station that I visited often in my younger days 😂
While visiting Mount Pleasant on business, I visited this restaurant on a recommendation by the hotel. This establishment has a comfortable feel, just small enough to be cozy without feeling cramped. The menu is seafood focused but does offer options for those not so inclined. Service was professional and adequately attentive. I selected the Asian Tuna, only to be told that it was unavailable. Disappointed, I chose the Branzino, a whole fish offering. The fish was nicely prepared and tasty as well. However, I was reminded that I really do not care for the whole fish experience. The crispy Brussels Sprouts accompanying the fish were very good. This is a nice spot for a dining night out and complements the local dining options.
First visit was just ok. The she crab soup was good, full of crab low on the lowcountry flavor that I'm used to. The seafood deviled eggs were good as well. Husband got the Shrimp and Grits, the tasso gravy was good. Shrimps large. Grits could have been thicker as the gravy consumed the grits. My son had the shrimp dinner. The shrimps were huge!!! They were fried and cooked to perfection, no complaints there. I had the seafood platter. It was enjoyable, I liked the jasmine rice and the sauce that accompanied it. The hush puppies, I've had better. There is no kids meals here just an FYI. And if paying with a debit card or credit card there is a surcharge. I would return in the distant future but would mainly come for the drinks and the appetizers.
My favorite restaurant! Ryan was the best bartender. I typically order scallops but tried the seafood platter which was amazing! I always sit at the bar since I travel for work and all staff are super friendly.
Fresh, savory, & delicious seafood. Heavy crad meat was in every spoon of the she crab soup. The lobster devil eggs are a must try. I don't care for hush puppies, but the sweet spin on them made them very tasty. Also, the mix drinks are definitely worth just coming back to hang out for casual drinks. I had jalapeño margaritas with extra spice. My main course was the Seafood Platter cheesy grits, lobster, shrimp crab-cakes, and asparagus. 8 out 10 We shall be back. Staff Hats off 👏
The best meal we had in the 3 days in Mt. Pleasant. If you haven't been, you need to go. Delicious chowder, and Mahi dinner. Roasted brussels are fabulous. Complimentary hushpuppies are wonderful. A very tight menu that is well executed. Kudos to the chef for curating the menu. Friendly atmosphere. A gem for the Mt. Pleasant area. Will be our go-to when were are here.
Ask for Joe! He’s the greatest for a good laugh and solid service. Food was excellent, the mussels were hoooge and swimming in a velvety butter garlic sauce that also pairs well with fried oysters! Blackened tuna was a nice serving, slightly underwhelming flavor profile but the pineapple salsa a nice citrus touch. I think I was reborn after having the Gouda grits, I could find a place for those in every meal. I expect I’ll dream about them from here out. The fried brussels with the tuna were amazing- crunchy crispy buttery layers of waving-your-diet-goodbye. When we went there was a scallop shrimp special with jasmine rice finished with a rosemary reduction(?) sauce that was divine! Nice variety of dish options. Our seating was a little cramped but the atmosphere was warm and welcoming overall so It didn’t really bother us. Would likely be a place I’d go back to frequently if we were local. Good spot as alternative to downtown C-town when you want great dish but not the bustle of King street. Thanks for great evening!
We had a wonderful dinner here last night. We found this place because everything downtown Charleston was booked. I had amazing she crab soup and the delicious halibut special. My friend had the scallops which were to die for. I highly recommend this place. Our server was excellent as well.
This place was recommended by a friend.
Best scallops I’ve ever had. The, “Arugula Salad,” was phenomenal. My husband had the, “fish du’ jour,” and devoured it!!! We had the mussels and even took the sauce home with us even though we’re staying at a hotel while we’re doing renovations at our home. It’s too good!!! The drinks were fantastic and classic. 😉 I loved the wine selection. The old fashion was made fashionably. 😅 The atmosphere was quite quaint and quiet, which was we needed!. The hostess was as sweet as can be. Our waitress, Christina was as cute as a button!!! Equally personable and professional. Will definitely come back. Don’t forget about the free parking! This is a hidden gem for sure. I won’t stop talking about this place. Ask for Christina!! Such a great team!
