I was in town for my birthday, did a Google search and found this place. Its amazing!! Cute little restaurant with AMAZING authentic Mexican food! Great customer service from the waitress. The food was so good, I went back for 2nd the next night.
The tequila tasting event that they hosted was so much fun! Excellent and knowledgeable people about the history and making of several tequila brands. If Lopez Restaurante y Cantina have a tasting event for either food or Spirits, this is the place to go!
I like this place a lot, homely feel but the nachos are a little hit-and-miss. Sometimes they're perfect, sometimes stale
Service is great. Must be I don't ever write about anything. They are playing great music and tbe food rocks.
They need to work on their curb appeal. Faded sign, chipped paint around doorway - we weren't even sure they were open. We were the only customers there at 5:30 pm on a Friday, which is too bad - because it really is good Mexican food! Attentive service, fresh hot chips and tasty salsa, attractive plates, not overly spicy. I hope they do some maintenance and advertising to stay in business, because we would hate to lose this local restaurant!
Wow! The steak for my fajitas seemed it came from the local Carneceria! Really well cooked and seasoned. Guacamole was fantastic. Beans and rice were even very good. Chips and salsa were perfect. Margaritas were strong and treated great. I can't explain why this place was so good! They even seasoned the avocado slices on my wife's vegetarian fajitas. 10/10 will eat again.
Only experience wonderful enough to inspire me to write a review. At first it's not very impressive. Kind of small, tucked away, and modest. Based on the good reviews I expected it to come through in other departments and it did. Service was incredible and the food... Oh god the food. Words cannot describe the burrito I had. It was like the moment Anton Ego tried the Ratatouille. Anyway it's a good thing this place is 4 hours away from my home because I'd eat here every day.
It was wonderful. The food was very delicious and fresh. Their salsa sauce and the tortillas were very fresh. The food plate was worth it too. I couldn't finish it even though I shared it with my dad. I strongly recommend this place if you are in town.
Most authentic food and great service. I had the mole which was fantastic! The carnitas don Manuel was amazing as well! Edgar was our server and was beyond accommodating and welcoming. We can't wait to eat here again!
Been going here for 9 years now. Now my son eats and loves it here. And if my family continues to grow they will be going here too. I am very picky with Mexican restaurants. My husband and I would try all the ones in Salinas back when we were dating and no luck. But 9 years ago I worked on Cass street my co workers recommended this place and I've been hooked. Now it's my family's tradition we always go here for Mexican food. We love the family that owns the Lopez restaurant and we love the food and atmosphere.
This place has the most amazing food! The only downside is slow service but the flavor and authenticity makes up for the wait. Definitely a go-to spot when we're in the area!
I am tired of chain restaurants, found this place and decided to give it a try. Family owned and operated....very friendly. Chips and salsa are the best I have ever had. The owner only makes 30 rellanos a day...get there early or you'll miss the best meal you ever had.
