Epsilon Fine Greek Restaurant

Great location on Tyler Street in downtown Monterey. This is a nice little Greek sit down restaurant, that’s oddly rarely crowded at lunchtime. You get a lot of food and it tastes good. It’s a little bit expensive on the price, but not unreasonable. There’s no parking, but just use the garage or park on the street. Get the baklava, even if it’s just to go.

Fantastic service from Jen! I will come back just because of her. She gave me a great recommendation for trout (served with head on, bean salad, spiced rice, and green beans). The trout was simply seasoned to perfection and the skin was deliciously crispy! The trout cheeks were very good. From now on I’ll be less scared of eating fish head! The entree also came with a salad which was nice and refreshing. I had SPECTACULAR hummus! It was smooth and the pita was fresh and tasty. I had a nice Sauvignon Blanc as well. It was a very delicious and filling meal. You won’t go hungry here! Oh and the Greek yogurt dessert was phenomenal! Perfect combination of sweet and tart.

Really nice atmosphere. Comfortable chairs. Great chicken. Will definitely be in again for lunch soon to try other dishes. Went with my father and uncle and got the same things they did and I wasn't sure what I got exactly other than that there was chicken and rice and it was delicious. We also had hummus that was delicious (and not dry like you get a lot of the time). Everything tasted extremely fresh and was very pleased with the service.

Pretty impressive all around. I’ve been to some great Greek spots and live in the Bay Area where we have the likes of Kokkari and Evvia. This place is unpretentious and has spectacular food — texture, seasoning, freshness, quality — check, check, check, check. The decor is super cute and sert ice is warm, friendly and attentive.
