Godiva Chocolatier

Never. Going. Back. My grandpa always got my grandma toffee on Valentine's Day. This is the second year since he passed away, and I thought I would stop into Godiva at Ridgedale Mall to pick some up for her as a gift. I waited in line for an available cashier, and when I stepped up to the counter I said I was looking for something with toffee. Before I could even say which toffee confections I wanted from the counter, the cashier interrupted me by saying "we don't have any toffee--this is a chocolate store" and laughed. I said sarcastically "you don't have ANY??" And she responded "toffee and chocolate are two completely different things." And laughed again. There was a box of chocolate covered toffee in the gift section and at least three truffles containing toffee in the glass counter, so I can only conclude that she didn't want my business. Congratulations Godiva--you have destroyed the one reason for me to ever step into your store. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. So rude. So frustrating.
