We lived at 1700 for 4+ years and loved our time there! The apartments are beautiful, spacious, and quiet. We really enjoyed the many amenities and the resident events. The location is fantastic with many stores within easy walking distance, including groceries, the mall, library, and the Minnetonka loop trail system. The community was great, the staff and residents were very friendly and made it a wonderful place to live!

BEWARE IF YOU WANT TO WORK HERE!! I briefly worked here as a leasing assistant, prior to this I had no experience in the field. From the beginning I was really excited about the new opportunity. This quickly changed as Geri, the Property Manager has to have been one of the worst managers I’ve ever worked with. Very condescending, and someone who clearly has a superiority complex.. Regardless of the property manager, what truly bothered me was that the building was that it was not ADA accessible at the time which was only two or the years ago. Also, when a resident came up to me and reported there were clear tacks (yes tacks that are used on a cork board) scattered at the entry way. I expressed my concern to the resident, apologized, thanked and cleaned them up right away. I called the Property Manager Geri. Nothing was done to investigate this situation even though there was risk of a resident or their dog slipping on them. What Geri, the Property Manager did do the following day was again abuse her position of power and let me go with no other explanation other than that “I wasn’t a good fit “. The HR department also failed to do their part which was another disappointment working for Steven Scott Management. I could continue on but I feel that I’ve covered the biggest issues I experienced and witnessed with Residences at 1700. I’m so very happy where I am working today, I am seen/heard/appreciated and have the support of upper management and HR. For the residences that live here, I hope all your issues/concerns and grievances are respected/addressed.

Residences at 1700 has been a wonderful choice for apartment living. I love the natural light and interior atmosphere, as well as its convenient location! The staff are always so friendly and helpful! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new apartment home in the west metro! The traffic & snow plows can be a little bit loud if you're close to the intersection, but not horrible. Having Caribou attached (& now Taco Teresa's steps away) is awesome!

Just wrapped our 15-month lease of a 1-bedroom apartment at Residences at 1700. Excellent quality staff, excellent quality accommodation. The location is very convenient with nearby groceries and retail. Underground parking is spacious. Gym is spotless. I did not hear a single sound from my neighbors throughout the pandemic - a time when absolutely everyone was home! Mickala and the Steven Scott team offered fair and flexible application processing (my wife and I had been living abroad, were not yet in Minnesota, and brought only international rental history). The building is maintained to a high standard. Jessje, the on-site engineer, quickly solved minor wear and tear issues as they arose. The immediate surroundings are retail oriented. Very convenient. The ground floor tenants are great (Caribou and Taco Theresa's when we lived there). Target and Lunds are next door. Banks, dry cleaning, hardware, and a bakery... and Ridgedale Mall. All steps away. Walk two blocks south and you'll encounter one of Hennepin County best library locations - Ridgedale Library. Walk one more block and you'll be at the trailhead for a peaceful walking trail through nature preserves. Lots of ducks, deer, and turkeys. Numerous regional parks and city trails are within a 5-10 minute drive. The complex attracts singles, small families, professionals, and 65+ residents. It was a nice mix and we never worried about unruly distractions. Very satisfied with our experience, and highly recommend to prospective renters.
