Delicious food with a great lunch special, and the staff showed a kindness to a woman in need the like of which I've never witnessed in person.

The food was delicious. The roast duck came out cold but they heated it up real fast when we asked them to heat it. The sauce was epic. The beef brisket noodle soup was also amazing.

Love this place ! Pleasantly surprised by the experience. Probably one of the best Chinese foods option at U of M with variety of options! The menu was huge! Ordered roasted duck rice and beef chow fun over scrambled egg sauce. The duck was fresh, juicy and noodles in egg gravy so tasty! Service was great and friendly.

My review is long overdue. I’m from the Bay Area (California) and every time in Minnesota for work it’s a must that I come to Sidewalk Kitchen. Their food is so good and the service is great. If you’re craving authentic Cantonese food I highly recommend that you give this place a try. It never disappoints.

I am 100% in love with this place. The location is good at central of U of M. This continues to be my favorite Chinese food place, The portions are good and were very happy with the quality of the food that we ordered. Went for dinner and ordered fried dumpling, Black bean sauce with pan fried noodles, Sidewalk Stir fry (a lot of Chives flower) - at the Chef's suggestion. I really enjoyed the flavors and the portions were huge! Service was great too.

No real complaints—solid authentic Hong Kong style cuisine. The pork belly was a bit too salty for my taste but it’s not really worth complaining about. Pricing was a little on the steeper end and it seems like tips were mandatory which is…a little rude? Language barriers can occur as well so be ware. Other than that, it’s great food, and I can see myself coming back. The salt and pepper wings especially were fantastic. Very juicy and tender, which is surprisingly rare at Chinese places where they tend to be almost a bit drier. The appetizer was solid as well. The free water they give is very lackluster though.

I had my birthday dinner at Sidewalk Kitchen and they did not disappoint! I had to get my favorite dish (see video): Sidewalk SW6. Sidewalk House Special Stir Fry!!! It's full of umami deliciousness and I haven't seen it anywhere else. You need to try it. My friend introduced me to a new dish this time: Pork SW5. Pork Stomach with White Pepper Pot!!! I highly recommend having it in this cold weather as it was such a comforting soup. My friend says it tastes just like back home and he loves getting it from here. The service was also excellent, no complaints!!! The owner even stopped by and greeted us as well. ^_^ Loved the ambiance, very comfortable as we enjoyed our meal. Can't wait to come back!

The portion size is great with reasonable price ! We love their sweet and sour pork and wonton noodles soup! This place is a small restaurant but the taste is very authentic , good service and tidy ! Strongly recommend any of the pan fried noodles. Yummy!!Sidewalk Kitchen offers the original Hong Kong version of the same dish as pan fried noodles here. Clean: 9/10 Service : 9/10 Food: 9/10 Price: 8/10 Location : 9/10 Overall : 9/10

Perfect Christmas dinner. Very impressed. Highly recommend Golden Tofu Spare Rib. Even better than most Chinese restaurants I found in Chicago!
