Haven't been here in a while. The buns were great. The soup was nice and very flavourful. They charge a markup for using credit cards (3.99%). Covid rules are in place with no indoor dining, limit of four people inside, masks, and separate doors for entry and exit. Really good policies.
Wow! The steamed buns at Keefer Court are absolutely spectacular. A friend suggested I stop by to try the tofu streamed buns, and I don’t regret it. It’s a cute spot with friendly service and delicious food- both sweet and savory. It’s in a fun neighborhood and I think it’s fairly priced. Yum!!!
Amazing bakery. A wide variety of choices to choose from. Employees were super nice and welcoming. We ordered takeout and it was ready at the scheduled time. Excellent customer service. High quality bakery. Delicious foods to choose from as well. Would highly recommend coming here to satisfy your cravings for anything bakery!
WOW! I grew up bringing Asian buns to school for lunch and have really missed them since moving to the Midwest 12+ years ago. We stopped in while visiting the Twin Cities and tried all of our favorites.
Every single bun was so fluffy, moist, and soft. The egg tart had a crispy buttery crust. The red bean sesame balls were fresh, warm, the perfect balance of chewy yet crispy. Bolo bao aka pineapple bun is my favorite and the ones here are just the right amount of sweet and crumbly on top. I will be back every time I visit for sure!
The owner recently got artwork from @mrjohnsonpaints featuring many women of the global majority. I am always down to support AAPI businesses, and it’s an extra plus when the food is delicious + has inclusive decor.
Did a carryout of selection, extremely happy with the taste and quality. The sweetness is just right level for east and South Asian. Finding this place after eating 5years of american bakery is such a great relief! This store will be my default bakery store for my bakery fix- pastries to cake needs! The goodness continues...
The bakery is top-notch. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, which is a credit to the friendly staff who know what they are doing. I highly recommend the curry beef bun, coconut custard bun, and egg tart, which are delicious and expertly prepared. Almond cookie was a bit dry. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to be back to try the other pastries. They also make an exceptional mango smoothie, which was very refreshing after a long walk in the area, and not too sweet. They’re open during covid, allowing 4 people at a time. You won’t regret stopping by. Keefer Court is a neighborhood mainstay, and for good reason.

I've been coming to Keefer Court for years and have always loved it. Especially their baked Char Siu bao (Chinese BBQ pork buns), egg tarts, red bean sesame balls, roast duck and beef curry puffs. They also more recently have a ton of vegan options after their daughter Michelle took ownership. I will say I was a little disappointed with the service of an employee when I came to get a pickup order Friday afternoon. I was told on the phone that I could call when I arrived and they would bring my order out to me due to Covid protocols. However, the employee working when I called was very short with me on the phone and then put me on hold for over 15 minutes. It was off-putting considering I had placed an almost $200 order. I'm not going to hold this employee's behavior against Keefer Court, because like I said, I've been coming here for years. But I would recommend avoiding the Friday lunch hour and I wouldn't hold your breath that they will actually be able to bring your food out to you as they seemed to be short staffed.
Great little bakery that serves steamed bbq pork buns(bao) as well as a large selection of vegan pastries. Service was very friendly, we will definitely be back!
Amazing pastries for a great price! Highly recommend. They will be so missed! The parents are retiring but apparently we should all follow on social media because the younger family member plans to continue in food service on the future! Can't wait to see where their future food adventures go!
Great food with tons of vegetarian options. I got the house special pan fried noodles. The crispy noodle was unexpected, but fantastic and the buns were delicious.
