Eastside Eat + Drink

Happy hour is a great deal! $6 drinks and appetizers. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate the complexities with tabs, etc. Service seemed to be a bit thin, we waited a bit longer than expected for refills. The rice balls and sweet potatoes were great! I ordered a few drinks and there seemed to be about difference in taste between the same drink.

We were there at 730 or so on a weeknight. We were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside and we opted for outside because we saw vacant tables and it was nice out, but we were told all there was available was a couch at the end of the patio. Seems odd for a restaurant to have a couch you can't eat at to be taking up outside seating. Also, why ask if we want to sit outside when there's no where to sit? You couldn't really tell what kind of food it served based on the decor. It was reminiscent of a diner but darker which isn't bad at all. They had high top and low top tables that were nicely spaced apart which is good because the party next to you isn't on top of you. It was *very* clean. The menu is streamlined. The dishes they have are well curated and executed. Our food came out FAST. It was - and I can't stress this enough - HOT when it got to our table. The gentleman who was the food runner was warm and polite even though he had his hands very full keeping orders for in house and take out separated. If he was stressed out, it never showed in how he treated the diners. We could probably come back and give them another chance because the food was good but our server was so so. He seemed more interested in serving his girlfriend than anything else. She was seated at the table next to us after us but had her beverage and food order in before he even looked at us. It was a weeknight and not that busy. I was about two minutes from standing up before he finally asked us if we were ready. 👎

WOW! The restaurant is beautiful! We dined outside on the fabulous patio. We started with the Foccacia and Ricotta, which was amazing, followed by Chicken Vegetable soup that was incredible and Pesto Grilled Chicken-delicious! The service was excellent! Can’t wait to go back. Next time we will save room for the cheesecake! I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could!

I ate here as an attendee in the reserved large party room. The service was great when it was available but our server was clearly overworked the evening we were there. The focaccia and bruschetta appetizers, pesto pasta and olive oil cake were all tasty. The room was great to have for conversations without shouting, although the evening sun could be blinding through the top of the window even with the curtain.

Definitely want to go back! We had a great appetizer (classic bruschetta) and I enjoyed their strawberry floradora. For our entree we chose penne alla vodka and magherita pizza. Both were amazing and our server - Peter - was just amazing and so nice even though he was busy. We got cheesecake to go which we enjoyed it later and it was delicious too!
