The pork ribs are an absolute must and their sauce is to die for - quick, convenient, and friendly customer service. :) will definitely go back again, and again.
Ted Cooks has great BBQ food at a reasonable price. First, their house BBQ sauce is incredible. Sweet, tangy, and with some heat to it as well (you can specify heat level in the sauce). The half chicken was juicy with great smokey flavor. The ribs had a nice dry rub on them and great flavor as well. I also enjoyed the spicy sausage and jojos combo plate.
I will stop in again just based on their delicious BBQ sauce alone! This place knows how to do BBQ right. They’ve been at it for such a long time too!
Cozy BBQ joint started in 1968. Great selection of ribs and pulled pork and beef. I ordered both the plain (no sauce) pulled pork and pulled beef. Pulled pork was very good. I would have given 5 stars if the beef was a little more seasoned. I have family members that don't like BBQ sauces. That said, when you add their unique hot sauce, it was delicious. Go try this place right away.
Ok, here’s the deal, Ted Cooks is the best BBQ spot in the Twin Cities. 90% of the time the ribs a perfect and meaty. However, there have been times where the product is not the best. Ribs can be fatty sometimes.
Tonight I received ribs that were not the best (fatty). Chopped differently then I’ve seen them for 20 years too. I really hope this is not a new type of rib/product they’re using? Something was different tonight.
I’m still giving Ted’s a 5-star because they usually are the real deal. When you walk in it looks like a run down place, but the food is what matters, and they do it right. I love their sauce too!
Went here for lunch and got the bbq sandwich special and got pulled pork. SO good and it came with so much food! Highly recommend. I will be back.
Hands down the best BBQ in the Twin Cities. Been going to Ted Cook's for 30 plus years.
Still the best in Minneapolis. The jojos bringing back childhood memories. Ribs and chicken still amazing. So glad my sister suggested getting some to bring to mom's house for lunch.
Beef ribs are all bone. Way overpriced for the amount meat you get.
Service is really good and friendly. Links are always good. They got the best beef links in town.
This has been the best BBQ in the twin cities for decades. AND STILL IS! Thank you Moses for continuing the tradition.
A must when in Minneapolis. We were sad when we found out there weren't any rib-tips but found out theb49ers bought them all. Guess the secrets out.
