No frills pho, and it’s delicious. Sometimes you just want an affordable, quick, and very good bowl of pho and this is the place to go.
Interior is clean, there’s booth and table seating. Food comes out very quickly and hot.
The broth was savory and hearty and the meat was flavorful. Quality was great.
Very flavorful, tasty pho. It’s great that you can choose a size (regular or large) too. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere but the food really makes up for that. Friendly staff and plenty of parking space for bike or drive.
My comfort food spot in Minneapolis when I don't know where else to go for food! In comparison to many phở spots that I have been to in the Twin Cities, Phở Hòa is pretty solid because as much as the food here can never been compared to home-cooked Vietnamese meals, they still do a good job providing decent quality food that one can still enjoy if they do not feel like cooking that day. The phở broth is better than that from most places that I have been to.
I am not sure if they have Bún Bò Huế because I don't recall seeing it here, but I have had the Bún Bò Xào before here and it tastes pretty good to me. The tofu is well pan-fried, and the onion is nicely caramelized. Mixing them with the noodles allows flavors to combine nicely. In terms of phở, I am always going for #97, which is Phở Chín, Nạm, Gầu, Gân, Sách, meaning brisket, flank, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe. Again, it's the broth that counts, but meat lovers will have #97 as a good option for sure. One can also order #91, which, instead of brisket, has steak instead, and everything else is the same.
It seems like this restaurant is actually a chain business which I did not realize until my friend in Boston went to the one there! Even on Nicollet Ave, commonly known as Eat Street, with several Vietnamese restaurants, this place still stands out as a solid option for one to get comfort food.
Service was pretty fast and on point. You should not be expecting anything above and beyond simply because that's not the way these small Asian restaurants do it, but the waitresses get the job done, and that is more than enough for me!
One thing to know, which I am not sure if it applies nowadays, is that they might charge extra if you pay with a credit card.
Enjoyed a sandwich that was even better than the ones I ate in Hanoi. Relaxed setting with comfortable seating (booths as well). The service was rapid and efficient. Perfect lunch.
Pretty decent lunch experience, stopped in on Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy. Service was friendly and fast, food came out fast as well. Pho was steaming hot and wontons were cooked to perfection.
Love the food and have been coming here long enough that I have tried nearly everything on the menu and have loved it. Your experience may differ depending on your preferences . But it will taste great and satisfy your hunger.
Parking can be a little tricky when it's busy but just take that busyness as it develops loyal customers based on serving really great food at a reasonable price.
I had #89 (flank & tendon) pho, which was in a decent sized bowl, with a generous potion of both types of meat. The sauce station at the table had everything I needed, including chili oil, plum sauce, sou sauce, and siracha sauce. The price was reasonable, at $12.50 for a bowl. I would definitely return here, or try one of their other locations.
I really enjoyed the food here! I like that they are open late and have a good variety of menu options for pho and other dishes. I liked seeing a whole vegetarian section. The regular size was huge and soul warming. I will be visiting again!
Easy parking. Simple. Good size menu. Friendly service, open at 10AM. Delicious broth. Excellent hot milk coffee, no sugar needed. All amenities you need. Steak flank pho. Lemongrass pork with rice and added egg. Perfect. Cute. Delicious. Simple. Highly recommended!
Atmosphere feels like a video game, food is out of this world, pretty sure the recipe was found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.(it’s that good)
