There is no doubt that Crooners Lounge & Supper Club is my favorite place in the northern suburbs to listen to great music, eat fantastic food and enjoy the atmosphere of an old fashioned supper club that is right at home in 2017. If you love live music and hate driving and finding parking that is too expensive in Minneapolis or St. Paul, Friendly Fridley is the place to be. Crooners features some of the greatest musicians in Minnesota performing on a daily basis. I have enjoyed great jazz, R&B, blues and Elvis over the last couple of years and they continue to grow and surprise you with new artists. Artists who have been performing at establishments like the Dakota Jazz Club and the Minnesota Music Cafe are now right in our backyard and only minutes away, thank you Crooners! Okay, great live music, but how's the food? Crooners has not only brought all these great musicians to the northern suburbs, but they also have some of the best dishes in any Twin Cities restaurant. One of my summer favorites is the Seafood boil on the Patio. They not only offer the Seafood, but they have the Minnesota Fish boil and if you are like me and love Minnesota fish, but can't find enough time to fish, you need to experience the fish boil at Crooners. Oh yeah, great steaks, pork chops, pasta dishes and walleye. If you are looking for a great place to listen to music, did I mention they start with great live music starting at the 5:00 with happy hour and the shows start at 7:30. Yes you can be home before midnight, CROONERS LOUNGE & SUPPER CLUB gets my 5 Stars as the best place in the TWIN CITIES!!

I had the most wonderful time there, which btw was my first time ever. The supper club was clean and the ambiance couldn't be better. I find this place to be romantic and sexy. My beau and I sat out on the patio Wed., night which I must say is the best patio I've seen this summer! And I loved The lakeview and mature trees. The music volume us perfect for conversation, our server was attentive and pleasant and easy to converse with I went to work completely bragging about the wonderful time that I had and I even pulled up the website to show people the location. I will certainly be back!!!!!

Great atmosphere, good food with more than adequate portions. I wish it was open more than 2 hours on a Wednesday for supper. As a gluten-free person my options were limited, hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Would have ranked a 5, but ranking a 4 because our waitress forgot to put our orders in - even though we were there 1 hr previous to showtime and ordered within 10 minutes of sitting down. Our food arrived AFTER the show started at 730pm (food came at 745pm?) and so we could not see our food nor eat because it was so dark - very difficult to enjoy the show...Crooners should think about opening the doors 1.5 hours before show time to eliminate this issue - it was incredibly unpleasant. Given all that, though, the parm crusted walleye was delicious! I believe the other 6 people had great food as well. It is too bad that their overall timing is so off-putting. The musician Ginger Commodore and her band were excellent! The Tony Bennett theme was lovely, and they delivered it perfectly. On the fence about returning, we would probably skip dinner due to the timing issues. (Dinner is not cheap!)

Bought tickets to see the ladies of jazz and were treated to an incredible dinner first! The walleye was amazing, we loved the supper club feel. And then we were treated to a fantastic jazz show. No wonder Crooner’s has been rated one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the world! Far better seating than the Dakota Jazz Club, no neck craning needed to see the performers. Well done!

We had a group of 4 there on a Saturday for a Show. The show was outstanding ! We loved the ambiance of the building and it was very clean. The drinks were great but we did feel that the food was overpriced and service was a little on the slow side. I understand that the restaurant was packed and that may have affected speed. Overall it was a pleasant evening, but next time we'll have dinner elsewhere and just order a drink and dessert.

Crooners was a really fun experience! Their mushroom appetizer was delicious, however the Reuben was pretty run of the mill. The atmosphere here was super unique! With both indoor and outdoor areas for live music, this place was bumping. Service was friendly and they organized everything for an 18 person group!

Everything! Literally everything! Food...amazing. Entertainment...beyond compare. Service...wow! They were super accommodating with our large party, personally replied to my email about a birthday celebration, and made us feel special and welcome. This has become my favorite venue, and is worth a 25 mile drive to be part of the fun. See you again soon!

This is a great effort to bring back a jazz supper club. The food is really good. The drinks are perfect. The music is spot on, with excellent sound. If you're looking for a nice night out that's not downtown, then I recommend Crooners. There's a separate bar area also.

I don’t know how good this place is, but I visited once and Google wanted a review, so here we are. The food is .. on par with a good sports bar or conscientiously-run chain restaurant. The service was uh, adequate. She did seem to be conscious. The entertainment is based solely on your choice to be there for the Thing.

The performers were outstanding, and the desserts were divine. Drinks were too boozy, and I like my liquor. That is my only complaint.

Could definitely see coming back, maybe for a different show, although my wife LOVED the Bing Crosby tribute show by Arne Fogel. Overall a very pleasant experience - good service, mostly really good food, with a few "misses", but all in all an experience we very well may be back for. Specifics on the food: - fries were cold, (but the Reuben it came with was incredible). Walleye dinner was fantastic. The cream sauce was mostly flavorless but a little salt and lemon juice solved that. Green beans were a buttery goodness cooked el denté to perfection. The wild rice, while very good, was also mostly cold. Still would recommend both meals. Also, the bruschetta (pronounced broo-SKETTA, btw) was very good. What was the most astonishing was the amount of wine in our glasses. First, they were the smallest wine glasses ever, and it was the least amount of wine I've ever been served. For $13. We all know every restaurant and bar has mastered the up-charging racquet of liquor, but wow. This was really something else. Don't order wine here. Side note: there's a strict no dancing and "no side conversations" rule during shows. I get the no dancing thing; that can be obnoxious, distracting and disruptive. And talking during a show can also be those things, but that's not the intent of this rule. Sorry, I'm out to dinner with my wife, live music or not, I'm going to (respectfully) have a conversation with my wife. All that long winded novel said, we will likely be back. Just go into your visit with the right expectations and I trust you will be pleased.
