The Indian food here was pretty good, but what really stood out was the Aloo Bhindi. This dish consists of okra, potato, and spices (amongst other things). I even tried re-creating this dish at home, but it was not as good as the restaurant. This dish has an interesting stirfry-like composition, where in the potatoes are actually dry and not in a sauce. Combined with the flavor profile ,it’s very interesting. Even when I’ve tried to make myself, it seems to come out a little little bit slimy. But here, the okra was dry and very tasty. If you come here, I recommend making the aloo bhindi one of your dishes.
Refreshing food. Ordered a mushroom and potato gravy and we really enjoyed it. The waiter Sam was extremely kind and made sure we had a good time. Would come here again. They do offer student discounts if you show your student ID Card which is great.
First time trying Gorkha Palace, all I can say is wow the food was amazing best Indian food I have ever had. The veggie Momo was excellent, that signature tomato chutney is the boss, I could drink the stuff. The garlic cilantro Naan was great. The chicken biryani medium spice was perfect. Definitely will be back.
