There was nothing to complain about and if someone does they are lying the customer service was excellent the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing the food is unmatched. Our waitress was Annie and she was exceptional 👏🏾 the owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well. If I could give this place 100 stars I would happily. Thanks for the amazing service and first time experience. Will be back.

Five stars because it’s our kinda place. Throwback vibe and simple atmosphere, very low-key. But exceptional service and food (if you like meat and seafood!) Bobby’s Bowl was flavorful, rich, and different (in a good way). No shortage of calories, but we’re all learning to control our portions, right? A great way to celebrate the end of a great Twins season.

Tonight was our first time here and it certainly won't be the last! My husband and I met two friends here for dinner. I am so into super clubs and this one did not disappoint! Our server, Xaivier, was excellent and gave us many good suggestions that were all on point. I ordered the Cajun pork chop that was huge and filled with flavor. My husband had the pork chop and half rack of ribs. Those ribs were excellent! Our friends ordered double pork chops and the scallops meal. Karen said her scallops were delicious and there were so many of them! The dinners came with a wonderful vegetable medley (which my husband left off due to his vegetable allergy). We also ordered a piece of corn bread with butter and honey that was fantastic! And one piece was enough for the four of us to split! Our shared sides were loaded hash browns (excellent) and augratins that I didn't care for but others at our table liked them. The drinks were good and strong and the warm cheesy bread they bring out right away was really good too. We all split a piece of the chocolate cake that was good but I would try a different dessert next time. Valet parking was $10 and well worth it to not have to hassle with parking. We will definitely go back. So glad we went here! A little spendy but the food, service and atmosphere are worth it.

Very nice restaurant but extremely warm. Was there with a fairly large group, and they handled us pretty well. We ran out a drinks a few times and had to go steal a water pitcher from the server station. The food was pretty good, I had a pork chop and bbq ribs, but I would probably order something different next time as they were both pretty dry and overcooked.

Dining room was pretty quiet tonight, which was nice for us. We've known about this place for years but have never been, and it was on our bucket list. 42nd year of marriage and here we are, finally! JD Hoyts exceeded our expectations with great tasting, perfectly grilled salmon and scallops and perfectly cooked veg medley! Mmmm... will come again!

We had such an amazing experience celebrating my husband's birthday! The food was outstanding, we highly recommend the pork chops, red beans and dirty rice, corn bread, shrimp...we recommend it all! They were extremely busy and our server was busting her butt, yet extremely friendly and have great recommendations. You must try the fried bananas for dessert! (They tasted so good I forgot to take a photo!) We're already planning our next visit.

I've been dining at this delicious restaurant since about 1993 – if my math is correct. It has always been my favorite restaurant to enjoy and recommend to others and always will be! I love the old school Supper Club feel and typically prefer to sit in or near the bar area. Yes, reservations are highly recommended! The food and hospitality are amazing! I can't say a single bad thing about this place! Enjoy the only 100% hardwood-burning charcoal grill in Minneapolis. The flavors are mouthwatering! Oh, bring your large appetite because the portions are large! Otherwise, you'll end up like me – walking out with a shopping bag of leftovers! LOL! Some of my favorite menu items: Buddy Bowl [#1 must try], Pig Wings, Cheesecake, Cajun Pork Chops (thick like steak!), Cajun Catfish, Shrimp, Scallops, Garlic Cheese Toast, Bread Pudding, BBQ Chicken, Gumbo, Cajun Pastas, Filet Mignon, and all of the desserts. Their wine selection, cocktail and mocktail programs are fantastic. Don't be surprised if you see a Pro Athlete, or Celebrity enjoying their drinks, food, and relaxing atmosphere as well. They might be sitting at a table near to you. It's happened to me. I love the private dining room in the back for larger dinner parties. Thank Pat and crew for always making me feel welcome!

I dine here routinely. Being a creature of habit, I always get the prime rib. Hoyt’s is not the traditional rich cut you often see. Their’s is a fat beefy slab charred to a tasty perfection. It usually has marbled fat adding flavor, but needing surgical removal. Last night was a piece of solid medium rare block of beauty. Absolute perfection. And the 18 oz monster provided leftovers and fed me today too. So good my dogs were limited on their allocated portions today. Whatever prime they are procuring now is spectacular. The pork chops get the hype, but they pale compared to what I ordered last night. I put my cardiologist on stand-by, because it may be worth conceding some life expectancy for another slab or two. Oh, and the house salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing is a fine way to start.

I just wondered in here with a friend because the wait at the first place we went to was over an hour long. We walked in and asked how long the wait was to which the hostess replied "30 seconds" 😆 The food was amazing and the portions were generous. The atmosphere is both fancy and casual. The staff were great.

Spent $120 celebrating a special day. Lobster Tail 🦞 was great! I requested it with No seasoning & that was wonderful. Crab Cakes 🦀 were yummy, but I wish I would of asked for the hollandaise sauce on the side. I opted for the veggy medley with L Tail as I assumed it would be a generous portion & I was satisfied. My hubby ordered the $20 Kobi burger 🍔, he liked it but I thought the meat smelled peculiar! I gave him back the tiny piece he tried sharing with me. I had a whiskey alternative Mocktail with no bitters & hubby had the bread pudding to-go, not pictured here. Part of the best part of the meal was meeting the owner during a brief meet & greet when he stopped by to our table.
