I've been going to Fred's for over 20 yrs and the food has always been really good, nice service. But since the new owners have taken over, everything seems 10 times better! First the customer service is excellent! The workers are so friendly and positive, it's so nice to have such great interaction with people that sincerely care. I ordered the cheese burger with grilled onions.. fantastic!! The burger is a nice, big size and very flavorful! I added crispy fries and they were perfectly done! Thank you so much for great food, reasonable prices, and amazing staff!
I had to stop by and say hello to good friends and eat their good food! If you haven’t been here yet you seriously need to go! Get a burger and some Cajun seasoned fries. You will not be disappointed! Also, the custard is rich, creamy and delicious!

We ordered our food and they brought it out to the car. It was a nice day so we ordered at the to go window. The food was excellent and the same for the ice cream.
I really needed a good burger and a friend recommended Fred's. Parking was a bit challenging but we only had to walk down about seven houses. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The burger was definitely worth it the short walk, though. It tasted like grilling in the backyard on a cloudless 73° Labor Day, except your celebrating on Sunday so you find comfort in knowing your food baby will be born before anyone notices. If you need an old-fashioned, diner style American smash burger, this is the place to go. The fries with house seasoning were delicious af too.
awesome place, nice quiet neighborhood, quaint location. peaceful. the food was phenomenal best cajun (fries) anything i have had while being in any northern state. just wow. super awesome service and nice people. very enjoyable. burgers were huge, juicy delicious. ate a fred special and added bacon, because why not. shakes were so smooth and easy to consume while taking in the scenery and good saturday in milwaukee. spoke with the owner. easy going and nice guy. wonderful place. anytime im ever in milwaukee. im making it a priority to be there and grab any food these people make.. 5 stars cuz i cant give 6..
I live a few blocks away and decided to order some Fred's. It was phenomenal! My burger was massive, juicy and cooked perfectly and my fries were hot and crispy. I highly recommend. Cheers!
Incredibly friendly staff and an amazing burger topped the way you want, and cheese fries so cheesy, you’ll have to rake through it with a fork to find the last few fries.
I got a double bacon cheeseburger “garden style” (or was it “salad style”?) (because my skin can’t handle that spicy bread), and a small cheese fry. (You’re right, I probably shouldn’t have had the fries either. But I had to try them!)
Alex was amazing! A coworker and I stopped here while on lunch and the customer service is amazing! Lunch was prepared in a timely manner! Gosh you guys the food was amazing and I can NOT SAY IT ENOUGH ALEX IS FANTASTIC!!!
Fred's Drive-In is a great place with great food and great/friendly staff. Located on W. Vliet across the street from the NTF Police Station. Has a very unique feel to it, reminiscent of a 60's style diner. The customers are good people, fun to talk with, and courteous. I'm cognizant of the fact that most people don't want to be in photo's. However in conversation with a customer I asked if he would be ok with being in a photo that will be on Google Maps. He agreed to my surprise. I had a fun time reviewing Fred's Drive-In!
