We loved it here. We arrived around 10:30pm. Very few people there. Jordan was our waitress and she was so awesome. Great head on her shoulders focusing on school and work. Food was great too. We had the sampler platter but could substitute onion rings for more mushrooms. My spouse wasn't a fan of only 2 things; jalapeno poppers and the pickles that come on the side with your meal. Jordan kept up with the coffee n even gave me a water to go! Well deserved tip indeed. We'll be back :) Hard to read the negative reviews when we had a great experience ourselves.
Ordered delivery for the first time tonight. 30-45 minutes. Showed up in 22, and the food must have been straight out of the kitchen : pizza was so hot I had to hold the box by the edges and the fries were crisp, not soggy. Don't think we'll be ordering from anywhere else. Nicely done!
Coffee was a fantastic bottomless cup, I found out they grind the beans right there! Also had chicken fried steak that was delicious! The service was great as well! The food was so good I picked the plate clean, lol.
It's my new favorite place to eat in the Milwaukee area. For breakfast lunch or dinner. EVERY meal I've had was great. This is truly old school diner food. And it's inexpensive. I cannot rate it high enough!! I plan on going this week. Once or twice!!
We were greeted and seated right away. Coffees were brought and kept full. Order was taken and food came out fast and hot and was delicious. We had Polish sausage breakfast and chopped sirloin breakfast. Was great and a large quantity (enough to have extras to take home. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
Cute old school diner/café. We stopped by for breakfast during a weekday and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. We sat at the counter and was offered something to drink as soon as we sat down. The service is pretty casual and allows you to sit and talk with others or watch tv while enjoying your breakfast.
There are lots of options for food including pancake, eggs, waffles, crepes, French toast, and more for breakfast. We had a egg breakfast and skillet with coffee and juice. The waitress kept our coffees warm, and the food came out pretty quick. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
The other side of the restaurant is reserved/opens for lunch and dinner, lots of tables and bar.
I would go back to enjoy a nice simple breakfast, and might try lunch or dinner soon.
Love this place but not the steak sandwich. Had to send it back twice. We go there all the time and food is always great. Don't know what happened but management was wonderful considering.
Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food was good. I loved my gyro pita sandwich.
A real southern hospitality experience! Our friendly server Rose really brightened my day with her wonderful personality. Coffee cup was always ket full and the food was great.

I had A really good experience here, I ordered their Big Breakfast with French Toast. Food was prepared as requested and everything was Hot, even the French Toast. I do not understand why so many other restaurants cannot deliver French Toast hot, Even the places that pride themselves on their breakfast dishes and close at 2 or 3pm. I will return for sure and hope to get the same service. Not to forget, the server that I had was prompt to take my order, plesent, and was there before I needed her(refill my drinks and checking if I needed anything)👍👍👍👍👍! Thank you for a great hot lunch and friendly prompt service.
This place used to be The Old Johnny V's Classic Cafe.
It is a much better place now that they changed the name to 84th Classic Cafe and the ownership.
When it was Johnny V's Classic Cafe, the service sucked and the food went down the drain.
Now that it is 84th Classic Cafe and the ownership has changed, the food is Good and the service is better.
I recommend giving this place a try
Atmosphere takes a distant third to food and service when eating in a Diner. 84th Classic Cafe is indeed "classic". Just good, home-made food, served up by friendly wait staff at a reasonable price. Would eat there again!
