Stop Scrolling and Read This Review. I’ve given a lot of thought to this review and I want you the reader to really pay attention to this one. Let’s state the obvious. You saw I gave The Jackson Grill 5 Stars across the board and I stand by that but I think the Jackson Grill is special. I was recently in Milwaukee for business. We ate out for each meal in numerous places. We ate both traditional restaurants as well another Supper Club All of them were great. No complaints but I didn’t enjoy any of them as much as I enjoyed The Jackson Grill. Let’s start with the Bar. First thing I look at is if the Bar is well stocked with a variety of spirits. I was very pleased to see that besides a variety of other tasty Whiskeys they also had The Glenfiddich 14 of which I happily consumed! The Bar Keep was Kevin and was able to make a Vesper for my work associate and I know he was quite pleased. As important as a well stocked and pleasant Bar Tender is it’s also equally important to have the right regulars to set the tone for the bar and the rest of the establishment. I’m happy to report that we had great conversations with the other patrons of the bar. It seemed like quite the diverse of locals but everyone was friendly and engaging. It was a super nice experience. Next up is the food. I’m just going to say, the Ribeye was fantastic, get the garlic mashed potatoes. You won’t be disappointed. We had some type of saucy shrimp appetizer that was insanely great. Let’s go back to that Ribeye for a minute. Was the ribeye insanely good to eat? Yes without a doubt. Was it huge? Again, yes it was. Did it have a fancy sauce like they might serve in France? Hell NO! However it did have a simple au jus that was seasoned and tasted amazing. Truthfully making something simple but taste amazing is truly art. I believe the Chef’s name is Jason (I may be wrong about this, I”m terrible with names and I apologize) but Jason the Chef is definitely an artist with food. So a restraunt, is more than a bar and more than just the food, it’s the entire place. It’s been a week or two and I don’t remember everyone’s name but the staff are just amazing. Our server made us feel like a long last cousin coming home. She was friendly but not fake, she made sure that we were well taken care of with food and drink but didn’t interrupt our conversation. She was amazing. Another staff made our crème brûlée and came out to make sure it was to our liking and that everything was okay. It was more than okay, it was delicious. The chef came out at the end of the night to ask about our meal and to chat. It was an honor. What i didn’t mention is that we were referred to the The Jackson Grill from our hotel’s front desk. We went in blind and didn’t know what to expect. We called, got reservations for 9 but showed up a little after 8, had drinks and then dinner. Although they close at 10 we stayed until at least 11. We apologized for losing track of time, between talking work, the amazing food and the super nice and friendly staff time just got away from us. They were super nice about it and sat down and just talked to us like regular people, not rushing us or giving us any sort of bad attitude. A few other random tidbits to know. 1. The dining room is small so make sure you make reservations! 2, The wine list is very good and didn’t disappoint. 3. The decor is… unique. If your like me and live in LA (ughh) don’t let it fool you. Yes, it feels very homey but it’s awesome and different. I mentioned above the staff makes you feel like family and the decor makes you feel like you’re coming home. I hope they never change it. To be clear, Milwaukee has many fine restaurants and supper clubs. However this is the one that I’ll make sure that I visit EVERY TIME I VISIT MILWAUKEE! I think you should as well.

Small, classic supper club near Miller Park. Best blackened ribeye I’ve ever had! Dirty martini was also excellent. Make reservations this place is small and is only open Wed-Sat.

This is my first visit to the “The Jackson Grill” since it reopened. I’ve eaten there when RIP Chef Jackson was cooking and the food was excellent, well I’m here to say that the food was just as good, maintaining the very high quality that was expected when it was “Jackson Grill.” We went there on a Thursday night and Kevin the man behind the bar makes an excellent drink. The dirty martini from what I was told was excellent as was my brandy old fashioned. Kevin said Friday and Saturday are his busiest between 5 and 7 so if you want to eat during these times make sure you have a reservation as there are only ten tables in the main dining area. There are tables in the bar which really isn’t a bad place to eat. They’re high top tables but very comfortable. The decor of the bar area is really a throw back to 1950’s and 60’s. And having a drink at the bar and making chit chat is enjoyable. After having our drink at the bar we sat at our table. The menu is limited in preparation for the protein you pick and I wanted a steak so I ordered the ribeye. My wife ordered the filet mignon well done and they asked if butterflying was ok which she agreed and her steak was very tender even being well done. My ribeye came out medium rare I way I like it. Warm and tender until I finished. The ribeye was over 16 oz as I took 8 oz home with me. The seasoning on my steak had the right amount of salt and pepper. The sauce that was served was very light and savory. My friend had his ribeye medium and he said it was tender and flavorful. His wife had the scallops and mushroom risotto that looked very flavorful and she said it was. Had your choice of garlic mash which was ordered by 3 at our table and I ordered asparagus which was cook to have a nice light crunch throughout the stalks with a buttery flavor. I will be returning to try the other items on the menu. For the price I give 3.5 $$$

Awesome food, great service from Debbie. Was told about an Old Fashion with Irish Mist which was a new twist on the quintessential Wisconsin Old Fashion. Checked off another visit to location listed in the Wisconsin Supper Club book.

The bartender & our waitress, Debbie, were amazing. Their hospitality was very welcoming. My husband & I each ordered a filet & scallops. They were cooked perfectly. We will be back.

Quintessential WI supper club experience. We dined with a group of 8. Service was fantastic. The bread basket never ended and the food! OMG the food. From the garlic buttery deliciousness of the escargot, to the homemade salad dressing. It’s hard to say what was the table favorite. The steaks were sublime and the scallops were cooked to perfection. We were moments away from licking our plates clean when we were asked if we were interested in dessert. Yes please! The only thing that could have made this meal over five stars is a classic ice cream drink. While not offered today, it might be available in the future. Fingers crossed! Look forward to returning.

Jackson Grill--amazing atmosphere, sensational service and fabulous food. Been here enough to have eaten much of the menu. Theses folks know what they're doing. Cajun Shrimp, Escargot, Tournedos, Portabella Steak, Filet, and everything else. All absolutely amazing. Throw-in a carefully-crafted cocktail, sincere service and a couple of cool owners, and I'm at a point where I encourage contacts and clients to join me at Jackson Grill for dinner meetings. This supper club is great for Milwaukee. Hope you all dig it, too.

Deb was a sweetheart! She kept complimenting me on my blue dress. Food was really good! Ribeye and scallops are great choices! We had the banana foster and it's probably my new favorite dessert.

Debbie was our server, she was amazing! I can’t say enough good things about The Jackson Grill, the cocktails at the bar were superb! When we got to our table Debbie greeted us warmly and took great care of us! I definitely endorse her recommendation of adding double scallops to your entree!
