This place is Lit af, the only negative reviews I see are coming from super entitled people who expect 5 min service from a place that serves handmade pizza in the middle of downtown.
Man, used to live at Spinelli's in the highlands, love this downtown location a ton! it's like the place all the kids hang out on the original Ninja turtles movie except they serve awesome Pizza! And you don't have to join the foot clan, awesome art to compliment The amazing Pizza! Open till 5 a.m. and they have cool arcade games.

I’m in town for the Derby City Classic and a side attraction for me is exploring dining venues. I am staying at the Brown and woke from a nap shortly after midnight last night feeling a little hungry. Surprised I couldn’t get a bit of nourishment at the hotel bar, which was closing soon, I ordered a Negroni and started a Google search for pizza discovering Spinelli’s Downtown and happily located not far from where I was sitting. What I saw online looked and sounded promising. I called to make sure they were open. I Uber’d over and was not disappointed. As other reviews point out the ambiance is grunge and 2:00 AM midweek was perfect time to enjoy a slice of one of their 18” diameter pies. In DC there are 2 pizza joints steps from each other on the same side of 18th Street in Adams Morgan serving slices from the same 18” diameter pies. One of them is appropriately named Jumbo Slice. Spinelli’s slice was equally enjoyable. I was the only customer and received super service from the 2 Spinelli’s staff working the wee hours shift. It was after hours for serving beer so I was delighted that Spinelli’s has the terrific IBC Root Beer. Thoroughly satisfying dining experience.
if you want good pizza, go during the day. the morning crew makes really good food and are way more punctual than the night shift. it's the night shift that you hear all the horror stories about.
they have tons of vegan options, even vegan cheese!

Looking for a late night place with a nice simple menu then you have to try this out. This was my first time and I will be back again. Enjoyed the food that was cooked fresh and the service was great.
WOW!!! Overnight stay in Downtown Louisville needed a late night meal and Spinelli's was suggested by the front desk. I can't say enough about how hot, fresh and delicious our pizza was. The Cannoli is outstanding, sweet, crunchy, fresh goodness. 😋
3rd time after coming back to skills Nationals and trying it the previous year.. Great pizza at a cheap price. 7.50 for a large slice of specialty..
This place was amazing, the staff was awesome and the food was wow. The games and punching bag were a lot of fun.
Cheesesteak 🥪 sandwiches are just Devine and really good, always hot and fresh cook to order one of the best in Louisville. I order mine with onions, mushrooms, pineapple's, and Marinera. Walla🥰
First time eating here and had the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza split with a friend, and it was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Pizza was enormous and fresh and not overdone on the ranch. I like the basement atmosphere and the employees were kind. Will be back!
The slices are bigger than your head, and it's perfect greasy deliciousness with a perfectly crispy crust. They have tons of unique flavors such as chicken and waffles and the breakfast pizza. All are delicious. Also, I love the mozzarella bites! The batter is fantastic and they legit almost taste like chicken tenders! Yum! The fried Oreos are out of this world, and you have to order them!
