I love Lotsa Pasta! The best, most diversely sourced cheeses for the most reasonable prices in town--great bulk spices from Ancho chili pepper to Zataar--sandwiches to die for (fabulous competition, btw, for a certain safari hunting company you may be aware of)--three fresh soups daily--delicious and manifold olives & other antipasti--amazing canned, bottled, & boxed goods from around the world, some house-made like the tasty crackers (I especially recommend the big cans of olive oil and the largest jars of tahini...you'll have to put in some sweat equity on stirring it, but it's by far the best deal in town and extremely delicious to boot)--tasty premade dishes and spreads--a nice selection of fine butters, salami, patés, & other preserved meats--a vast array of delicious frozen meals--numerous cheese spreads--a nice little bakery--loads of bread choices, which they'll cheerfully slice at no charge... Lotsa Pasta also makes large orders for parties. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's seen their gorgeous, enormous Layered Spinach Cheese spread (though I actually don't know its proper title, having only ever eaten it!) at a fancy gathering. If you need to make an impression and save yourself some elbow grease, that's a sure way. Best of all, the staff are unfailingly cheerful and helpful. If you need a place to brighten your day, go to Lotsa Pasta.

Special shout out to Lotsa Pasta for help with my elderly mother and a gift order she had placed. Yesterday (Friday before Xmas) I had to got to the store to pick up a gift card she had called and ordered a few days prior. The store was MOBBED with a line 20 people deep at both the deli and at the cash register. Even finding someone to help me figure out WHERE to go to pick up the card was a challenge. A very kind guy behind deli tried to track the card down but could not find it; he turned me over to a manager for the store who also patiently searched in vain for record of the card order. All while literally dozens of crazy shoppers and the staff were frantically milling around us. After realizing there was some mistake and the card could not be found, rather than make my mother (who is 94) call in again to re order it, they simply GAVE ME a 75$ card and wrote down the name/last four digits of card number and said 'they'd look again later'. . . meantime sent me on my way with the card for my mom. THAT is customer service. Its always been a high quality store in terms of product but I experienced first hand the high quality service in a very challenging moment - well done!

One of my all-time favorite places in Louisville - I love their pimento cheese, frozen meatballs, crackers, in-house roasted turkey, rosemary ham you can buy in the deli, bread (they will slice it for you or take it as a loaf), and just really everything they sell. Also their meatball subs and homemade soups. Also- their tiramisu! Yum. Lotsa Pasta. You rock!

Great lunch spot! The fresh breads and pasta are fabulous. The cheese department is second to none in Louisville. It's a one-stop shop for specialty, particularly Italian, grocery items. They also have great frozen meals and entrees!

Love this place for its distinct and intentional efforts to offer a more vast array of authentic Italian quinine. From imported cheeses and meats, homemade pre-frozen meals, pizza dough, etc. Lotsa Pasta is the gateway to Italy. Offering the best selection of incredible foods and ingredients you think of when imagining an Italian market place. Options include pasta, sauces, breads, oils, olives, etc. Truly one the best local Italian markets to visit in Louisville.

If you're a foodie, that loves Italian, this place will be your mecca for sure. There is a huge assortment of pastas, sauces, meats, and cheeses. They also have a great selection of spices and many, many other things. It's definitely worth a stop in. We ended up picking up two ravioli dishes, one lasangna, one chicken, a side of pasta salad, and a salami. Can't wait to try them all. Update: After trying all the pastas and dishes, we found thier ravioli to be quite yummy. The lasangna was good as well, very unique flavor. The pasta salad by far was the best of the selections. The chicken dish however, was sadly very bland and wouldn't recommend. So I think thier pasta salads and deli sides, along with stuffed frozen pastas may be the go-to for this stop.

When I came to Kentucky from NYC, I was worried that, as an Italian cook, I would have trouble finding my favorite ingredients - guanciale for carbonara, prosciutto from Parma, house made whole milk ricotta, high quality olives and olive oil, and of course cheese. I LOVE this place. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the selection of hard to find ingredients is excellent, and I really can't say enough about the quality. Lotsa Pasta, specifically, is one of the reasons Kentucky was on my list of cities to consider when leaving NYC. I'm so glad they exist. If you are into Italian cooking, or looking for a fun gift for someone who is, this is the place. I highly recommend the pecorino with saffron and peppercorn for carbonara, too (along with parmigiano and egg yolks I mean). Ugh and don't get me started on their cheese case.... Just excellent. And they serve sandwiches, too! They also have housemade pasta dough, pizza dough, Italian ice, everything you need for dinner if cooking from scratch isn't your thing. I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

A Real Italian Deli! The taco place was closed, so we popped in to the deli and got a picnic lunch to take to the park. Stop in the new coffee shop and try your favorite coffee drink or get an Italian soda. There's a HUGE selection of Torrani syrups and the staff is top notch! Lots of gluten-free items in the deli side. I didn't look for GF pasta, but there's lots of olives, cheeses, chicken salad, fresh salads, etc. The bread smells wonderful, but I can't eat it so you'll have to try it yourself. Lots Pasta is the best place to get little fancy items to finish off a gift basket or food present if any kind.

Awesome selection. Excellent staff. Got a tuna on rye with Swiss. Tomato dill soup, and a cream soda. Winning combination. Have been coming here for years when I visit, and was surprised I hadn’t reviewed before now.
