By far our favorite place for special occasions. Never had a bad experience or service. Their steaks are mouth watering & amazing. They even brought us complimentary champagne & dessert for our anniversary. The wedge salad is one of my faves. Highly recommend!
We made our 28th wedding anniversary dinner reservations online, which was super easy. We arrived 15 minutes early, was seated within 5 minutes. A Happy Anniversary card was displayed on our table and a complimentary dessert was provided to finish off our dining experience. We highly recommend our waiter, Grant. He made sure our evening was prefect from beginning to end. Thanks, for making our Anniversary extra Special!!

Hubby and I were hungry after attending a friend’s graduation and happened upon this place. Very swanky walking in. There was a 30 minute wait so we sat at the bar area. The service was quick and efficient. The menu offers a good selection of food. We both ordered the Hong Kong Sea Bass. I tried 2 of their adult beverages: the Great Dane and The Draper. Both were delicious! I loved looking at their wine displays, which I need moved to my house! We enjoyed our quality time. 👌🏾 The carrot cake is scrumptious!!
I ordered the Panko chicken and it had no flavor whatsoever so I had to send it back and I got the Nola shrimp which was delicious. The mashed potatoes was delicious. My broccoli was cold. My salmon was a little salty, but still delicious. we had salads and the chicken on top of my salad was good, but I didn’t like that. It already came out with the dressing on it. They brought three rolls of bread for two people That odd number killed me. Why not just bring 2 or 4? Our server Carlos was great. Expect to spend some money. we had the carrot cake. It was super super super sweet, probably way too sweet. Couldn’t even eat it all.
My wife and I went for our 28th anniversary. They had a little place card to commemorate the event. The wait wasn't long. The only thing that I would say was lacking, we weren't offered water or bread, but then again, we knew what we wanted and ordered right away. I started with a Ceasar salad, My wife had the ribeye steak and baked potato, while I had the ribeye and Mac & Cheese. The food was delicious. So much so, I forgot to take pics of both meals! Lol They offered complimentary glass of champagne and a slice of 4 layer chocolate cake to help us celebrate the occasion. NICE!! All in all, it was a GREAT experience.

A Steak House worth visiting. Atmosphere.. Beautifully decorated with a stone fireplace set off to the side facing the center tables. A square shaped bar sits in the middle that can accommodate a large number of patrons.
Staff.. Remarkable! During our visit the staff was no less than perfect. Every employee seems to take on each and every customer at every pass. They never passed on duties to our waitress when asked for things when she was away. The staff was like a well oiled machine.
Food... We all had steak so can only comment on our meal. All of our steaks were perfectly cooked to taste. We all agreed, one of the best steaks. The coffee cured rub was fantastic.
Price... Although I would not consider it cheap. Anyone who has ever been to a "Steak House" knows they won't be seeing fast food prices, and rightfully so, this is great food, not fast food. That being said, we averaged fifty dollars a plate, on par with other higher end restaurants.
Our opinion... Well worth the money. If you like Steak, good Steak, come take a delicious bite out of this fantastic restaurant. Just come early as they fill seats quickly after five!
Absolutely the best steakhouse we've had since moving here. To start the service was fantastic followed by the atmosphere and food- it was all phenomenal. Our waiter suggested the perfect wine to go with our steaks, everything was made to perfection & never did we feel rushed. We will be back without a doubt.
The wife and I went for the first time for our anniversary dinner. I can honestly say we were very happy from the time we sat down till we left. I told them that it was for our anniversary and they actually even had a card on the table for us. The waiter was absolutely amazing he was very friendly and very informative on all we had questions on. He happen to make a couple of suggestions and they were great. The meal was amazing the wife got the standard cut filet and I got the new York strip. Both were amazing to say the least. We also got the Mac and cheese and the wife got garlic mashed potatoes. If you are looking for a great dinner then please try it. I promise you will not be disappointed at all.
Our entire family was in Louisville this past weekend for our niece's wedding at the Garden Court Seminary and stayed at an AirBnB near this Stoney River restaurant and decided to go there for a family dinner with the bride, her sister, and their Dad (total of 13 people in our party) to celebrate the event .. we ordered several appetizers, entrees, and cocktails and EVERYTHING tasted fantastic .. I decided to order the Meat Loaf instead of a Prime Rib or NY Strip because I didn't think that I could finish my entree and the Meat Loaf would be the better leftover meal, it tasted awesome during dinner as well as breakfast a couple of days later as I had anticipated .. all 13 of us enjoyed the food and the great service that we received from your staff .. the entire bill came to $950 and we look forward to returning to a Stoney River location again in the near future .. kudos to management, server staff, and kitchen staff on a job WELL DONE! 🙂
I used to love this, and perhaps my standards have increased. The atmosphere is spot on. My steak was ordered medium and served well done. However, it was still tasty. My biggest disappointment was that they would not allow my daughter to have a coke in a champagne or wine glass. This was a simple request to make a young lady feel special, and I feel it could have easily been respected.
Really had an awesome time here celebrating our anniversary, wish we could afford to eat here all the time!
We both had an awesome time, everything was quite excellent.
We started with salads, which were a good size but not too large to fill us up before the main course; flavors were very balanced so that every component was recognizable.
Both our entrees were perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful. Compound butter and peppercorn sauce on the steak was a decadent combination.
We were surprised by a large piece of chocolate cake, to celebrate our anniversary. It was extremely rich and we managed to eat it all although we were already stuffed!
I wouldn't say that Stoney River is the best value restaurant or steakhouse in the area, but you get what you pay for, and it's an awesome restaurant! Highly recommended for special occasions!!
Excellent experience! Food, drinks, and service were great. We came with some colleagues from out of town and had a great time. Jumbo shrimp and spinach dip didn't last long at our table! The cedar plank salmon was the best I've had. I can't wait to come back. Dinner and drinks are expensive, but you get what you pay for!
