Finally made it to Jitlada, and boy was it worth the wait! Fair warning for anyone, Southern Thai food is inherently spicy, so be prepared for it, and ask clearly if they can make it milder for you. The jungle curry is NO joke. Crying Tiger, and the Crab Fried Rice are must try!

As Guy F. says in the poster affixed to the first window, this place is the real deal! There is a certain depth of flavor that you can only experience in places that have a long and inspired history to complement an equally rich and diverse culture. Every single dish I've had here gave me a new culinary experience that was equal parts unique and soul-warming. It's one of the few places in LA where I'd say you can order anything and be happy. The water spinach (cress) in curry as well as the jitlada comelette were absolutely insane and I couldn't stop eating and tasting new parts of the latter. All around, perfect spice levels as well. That flavorful heat that makes you sweat a tad, but not need to fan off your mouth and not enjoy the next bite. Service is fantastic and well tended to. It has a bit of a classic Thai place feel where it doesn't take itself too seriously and the focus is on the food, but the wait staff is attentive in a non stuff way. Perfect. Also the interior is dope and plenty of things to tend to as conversation starters. The tables are a bit close together and arranged for maximum capacity so there's a little bit of overhearing and being close to others, but to be honest it really feels like that's what helps me it a genuine Thai dining experience. 10/10

If you're coming for the heat, ask the server which part of the menu to order from! Otherwise, don’t freak out the spice won’t git you. This is an incredible (for others maybe overwhelming) menu with dishes we had never seen anywhere else. We made sure to try both the classics and things we hadn’t tried before. The unfamiliar dishes were the stars! Our server informed us there would be a wait for food because there was only one cook but we didn't wait long for our food and it all kind of came out relatively quickly and at once. The pad thai and the lemongrass chicken didn't quite deliver, might be because of hurried dishwashing in the back that affected the experience of the dish. We absolutely loved the crab curry, there was SO much crab on those claws! The morning glory noodles were like an elevated pad see ew with perfect texture and great flavor. The papaya salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. We went on a Wednesday night and the way it was about 20 minutes, you sign up on a list in person and they call your name.

We had dinner on what seemed to be the worst night to do this since they had a wedding booked and everyone was kindly informed about the extended wait. We rolled the dice and got lucky ! They immediately brought out tables & chairs to sit and what a great idea on such a lovely evening . Then it just got better and better !!! Jazz personally took our order and food came out promptly and everything was delicious !!! We had the mango salad, crying tiger beef & the pumpkin curry with steamed rice of course !!! Salad was fresh and crunchy, the beef was tender and flavorful and the curry was rich & simply perfect ! Have a nice cold Big Noise it won’t disappoint ;)

This place was pretty good but small. I liked their Lamb Green Curry and Crab Fried Rice best, but their service was not very good and their prices were very high.

Super tiny strip mall restaurant means parking spaces are at a premium but once inside the food is pretty spectacular. Be prepared for spicy food as the kitchen is very authentic (according to my Thai friends) but it is well worth it. Highly recommend the fried sea bass with fish sauce.

Not so fancy sites from outside view but are really popular even among influencers and super stars. Garlic Tiger shrimp is large and in great taste. Crying Tiger is the beef tender with special sauce more like a tasty snack. The Phad Thai seafood has a sour taste with the sauce and including different kinds of seafood which force us to wait for almost a hour. The Thai tea is the traditional sweet one. We guys are lucky to meet the owner Jazz. She is soooooo welcoming and warm hearted that I even get a photo with her and discuss what to order next time. Might try for the Crab 🦀!!!

Best Thai food I’ve had. We got the real chilli dishes, it was very delicious AND nice-spicy. Service was good, we did order rice with our dishes, and wanted to add more rice, they gave us some for free, which was very nice of them. Drinks and dessert were also great. The only thing might be the it can be quite busy so you might have to sign to a wait-list outside. Inside the restaurant is also a little crowded and loud. But overall we are very pleased. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place! I had this saved in my list of places to go and we were in the area so decided to stop in. Already knew it was going to be good when we walked in and the place just smelled amazing; the perfect combination of spice in the air. Asked the server for recommendations and got the Crispy Morning Glory salad , Crying Tiger (beef) and Panang Curry with pork. Everything was so perfect. Grabbed the Mango Sticky Rice to-go and it was still great hours later! I want to come back and try other menu items!

The reason why we stopped here was because of the YouTube channel and their recommendation on this place. It was a Saturday evening so you can expect some waiting time and I think it was about 30min wait. The food is delicious, it's true Thai cuisine and it tasted literally the same compared when we were in Thailand. The Soup was beautifully done and the curry was out of this world. If you want to know how the food tastes in Thailand you need to go there.
