This place is cash only. We were very pleased with our visit. On street parking was available and convenient, we'd originally gone to another restaurant but after 10 minutes we couldn't find any parking. The inside is pretty small with just 9 tables, and all got used during our visit. The hostess/waitress/cashier was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good,. My daughter had the shrimp etouffe which had a nice thick well seasoned gravy. My wife had the okra gumbo. It had a few plump shrimp tails, half a blue crab body, chicken hot link slices and a lot of okra. She ate around the hot link because she said it tasted too much of sage, but I finished them off and they were fine, buy the large and take the extra home, $5 more but twice as much food. I had the shrimp po boy and it was good, nice big well cooked shrimp, but there were only about four of them, so I ended up having a lot of sandwich with no meat. My favorite po boy I get in Alabama is served open faced with a pile of smaller shrimp, so you have to eat a few before you can close your sandwich. The collard greens were very good, I prefer smoked pork over turkey, but well cooked and great flavor. Overall a great experience.

The most authentic and flavorful cajun food in Long Beach. I have been to New Orleans twice, the food here is much better.

Absolutely, positively, incredible. A cozy warm little corner joint on the outskirts of downtown longbeach is what you'll find walking into this 'must try' gem. Inside you will find a traditional cajun/creole menu with prices reflecting the freshness and quality of the of the ingredients. A very warm and friendly staff will take your order, bring your food to your table, and if you like, have a chat with you while making sure you have what you need. I had the seafood gumbo, and holy $*%# it was one of the best bowls of gumbo ive ever had. The dark roux was perfectly prepared, not chalky or burnt, but buttery and subtle. The spice blend had kick but didnt overwhelm the fresh seafood piled in the bowl. Crab, shrimp, sausage and other fixing were tasty and not overcooked. The rice and broth brought it all together for a delightfully delicious bowl of finger licking soul food. My love had the BBQ shrimp plate with potatoe salad and dirty rice. Unlike traditional BBQ, the shrimp were covered in a cajun spice based sauce that made me want to lick the plate clean after tasting it. The sides were equally impressive with the dirty rice being the start. Rich, yet not wet and sloppy, the dirty rice was home soul food that everyone needs to try. I'm absolutely stunned that there isn't a line out the door and around the block to get into this spot. You owe yourself a visit, and you'll leave satisfied and happy that you did.

Everything here is delicious! And the staff is very nice and welcoming. They keep their menu fresh with new items and classic favorites. I love the red snapper, the gumbo and the crawfish.... actually I think I love it all

Food was great! We been searching for plenty of restaurant near our home in downtown Long Beach and this restaurant was a great find for our crawfish needs and it's only 4 miles away. Everything was great from the customer service the taste of the food and the amount of food given the price wasn't so high but the only downfall of it was that they only accept cash or online ordering (they have a ATM but I don't trust any ATM) but I will be coming back!

Really good tasting and filling Jambalaya, greens and chicken link - all recommended by the friendly server there who took time to answer all my questions. Surprisingly I was the only person there for lunch on a week day and I got all the attention but I hope more people tried it.
