LOVE this place!! ❤️ Just as excellent as it was in the late 80's and early 90's when I was a server there with my 2 sisters. There's a reason it's been around for so long. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious and a great value. Excellent service with a smile. 😊 Highly recommend.
This place is great. I just can’t wait to go back. Fresh baked home made pies and cakes. My muffin was so delicious even the butter. My breakfast was so good I saved what I couldn’t eat ( cus it was a lot) and it was just as good this morning. I want to take my mom here. Thank you for the delicious meal 🥘.

Our Saturday Morning Breakfast place for over 20 years!. There are many reasons why this restaurant has been our Saturday Morning Breakfast place for over 20 years. We're not alone in this regard. We've seen the same loyal patrons over that period of time as well as many newcomers that have turned into regulars. We've come to know many of them and have many friendly conversations with them.
First and foremost, the food is consistently wonderful and you get tremendous value for your dollar. Our favorites are their pancake sandwich (3 large pancakes with eggs and sausage/bacon/burger patty) and their many omelettes - especially the Bacon-Avocado-Cheddar and Vegetarian! They also have a delicious salsa that is a wonderful complement to any egg dish...
We've also been there for the occasional lunch and dinner and the food is just as delicious. But, for us, this is our place for breakfast!
They bake their own delicious quiches, cakes, pies, and muffins... YUM!!!
The owners and staff are friendly and engaging and the service is prompt.
They have a dining card that you can load up with cash and use as a debit card to pay for your purchases. Currently, they have a policy where they give you $10 for every $100 you put on the card. So, if you are a frequent diner, this is a really good deal!
We'll be there next Saturday... and the Saturday after that... and the Saturday after that..
Never a let down. Great breakfast spot, pancakes are great, go with the specials and you won't be let down.
Superb!. This place is most excellent. A sophisticated but not overly expensive menu, backed up by great-tasting, freshly-made food, attentive and friendly service ..... and the place is really clean, which can't be said for many eateries. I would heartily recommend this establishment to anyone wanting great breakfast or brunch in Long Beach.

Old Fashioned "Coffee Shop". This is a Mecca for comfort food. Breakfast, Lunch or dinner are all excellent. Save room for the cakes and pie -- delicious!

MMM MMM GOOD. This place is the best. The atmosphere is cool and laid back. The menu is vast with very nice choices. I enjoyed an avocado, bacon, and chesse omlete with seasoned potatoes. I also loved the lemon and blueberry pancakes with rasberry. it was so much food i shared it and still did not eat it all. Wow!! And to top it off, they have this cream chesse muffin to kill for. It's definetely worth it's weight in gold! Go there eat,drink, be merry!!!!!!!!
Great American Food. The food is simple, well made, tasty, and well priced. It's american food at its best, made from the heart and made fresh. Though I am happy to have the Bake n Broil in my neighborhood I used to drive 20 miles to eat here when I lived further away. My daughter loves the Red Velvet Cupcakes.
