Sushi Bar Sage

Food was great, so don't be distracted by the dated environment. This restaurant does need a face lift. I would have rated it a 5-star, but there was one thing that I didn't like. This place is a bit pricey. I've literally ordered the same rolls at a nearby place and spent half the price. If this place had competitive pricing of their rolls, it would definitely be my fav spot. Well, let me mention the positive stuff now. The on-duty sushi chef is wonderful. Order the "Grand Prix"! It's not on the menu. But it's the Chef Special. Even if there's something that you don't see on their menu, mention the ingredients (or fish), and the chef creates a masterpiece roll. I was totally surprised. I've eaten here twice now. Again, this place does need a decor makeover, BUT the sushi menu makes up for it. Other than the prices, this place is delicious. Maybe do the All You Can Eat, or Happy Hour visit.

I enjoy the sushi here. It's not the best in town but it's still good. It's usually not too busy here at least every time I've been. Waitresses are nice and friendly. Owner recognizes my family and I when we are there. They offer sashimi, nigiri, cone rolls as well as regular and specialty rolls. My favorite is the garlic tuna and spider roll.
