Delicious! We arrived a little late and didn’t get a chance to make reservations. Red8 was able to squeeze us in within 15-20 minutes. We had delicious dim sum including a vegetarian jade dumpling, hargow, shrimp and truffle dumpling, and shrimp and mushroom dumpling. We also had the chicken satay and Thai styled noodles with shrimp.
The service was attentive and helpful. If you’re looking for dim sum, this is your place.
My father and I had a good experience dining at Red 8, located in the Wynn Las Vegas. However, we would rate it as a solid 4-star dining destination.
Red 8's decor is a feast for the eyes and creates a refined and culturally immersive atmosphere for diners. The decor seamlessly blends classic Chinese aesthetics with contemporary design. Rich, dark wood accents, intricate latticework, and ornate screens create a sense of oriental grandeur. The attention to detail in the decor is evident, and it enhances the overall dining experience. The choice of colors, primarily red and gold, adds a touch of opulence and auspiciousness, in line with Chinese culture.
However, Upon requesting a table, I was informed that the wait time would be an hour and a half on a Monday evening, which appeared atypical to me. Despite the casino's relatively uncrowded state and the passing of peak hours, I had anticipated a seamless and expedited process for acquiring a table.
Onward to the food.
The Red 8 Combination Fried Rice was a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the combination of different meats and vegetables provided a satisfying variety. It was seasoned well, and what I noticed was that it was cooked in pork fat that gave off an enticing aroma. However, I would have appreciated a bit more due to the portion size being inadequate for two people
The Hot and Sour Soup at Red 8 was a comforting start to the meal. It had a nice balance of spicy and tangy flavors, with a hearty portion of tofu and vegetables. While it wasn't the best hot and sour soup I've ever had, it was certainly above average.
The Minced Chicken Lettuce Wrap was a tasty appetizer option. The chicken mixture was well-seasoned, and the crisp lettuce leaves provided a refreshing contrast. It's a fun dish to share and a great way to kick off the meal, although I've had slightly larger lettuces to put the minced protein in.
The Kung Pao Chicken was a flavorful and satisfying main course. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a good balance of sweet and spicy notes. The addition of peanuts and vegetables added texture and complexity to the dish. While it was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the level of exceptional that would have earned this meal a 5-star rating.
Overall, my experience at Red 8 at the Wynn Las Vegas was above average. The food was tasty, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was pleasant. Although it was a good dining experience, the restaurant could have improved by adding more depth of flavor and innovation to some dishes. Additionally, the portions could be larger to make it more shareable for families. Despite these minor criticisms, it is still a great option for anyone seeking a fulfilling Chinese meal in Las Vegas.
This is a good restaurant if you’re looking for Asian food and I’d happily return. The service of each dish is incredibly fast but everything is still fresh. Portions are large and with some of the prices are really good value. Very tasty, really well presented, and plenty of meat and fish in the rice made for a memorable meal and with the interior and calm atmosphere I’ll be back!
I was really excited to see that red8 has vegan options. The edamame was very tasty and a big portion size. We also ordered 3 different vegan dim sum: white lotus, jade dumpling and Cantonese vegan pot stickers. We enjoyed all of the dim sum and thought they were well prepared.
Solid food, better than average pork buns, a little on pricey side for dim sum. Attentive service in a classy place. I put extra Làjiàng, hot chili oil.
First of all, let's talk about the decor! This place is designed so well! The service was extremely top notch! And the food was delicious! I always wanted to try this place and they didn't Disappoint! The highlight of the lunch was the executive chef taking a picture with us! He actually took the picture and showed me how to use my phone! He was extremely nice and friendly! Can't wait to go back!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We went to Vegas at least twice a year and always stay at Wynn, and this is out favorite restaurant that we always go to Sober or not LOL
I would recommend you a BBQ platter to try all sorts of their BBQ my favorite was duck OMG that crispy skin!!! Also ask for some red chili oil that’s the best dipping sauce ever! So fragrant make you wild awake
Great place in the Wynn. I highly recommend the Mongolian beef, stir fried vegetables with shrimp, fried rice with shrimp, and the eggplants. All the plates here go perfectly with the hot sauce they provide. It's a great atmosphere for dates, solo, and with friends! So close to the casino floor and steps away from the room elevators.
This place inside the Wynn has really amazing Food! We had to wait for 45 minutes but that's understandable and they were really sweet. Customer service and ambiance is great. Not my favorite but all really good! Food was amazing! We had the almond walnut shrimp (my favorite), assorted BBQ platter with duck and pork belly (AMAZING!), crab, and shrimp friend rice. The Cabernet I had was really good too I just can't remember the name. If you are at the Wynn and looking for something delicious where you can still sort of people watch. This is the place!
Wow, some of the best Chinese in Las Vegas! The duck and pork are absolutely amazing. The congee with beef is just like being in Asia.
The service was extremely professional. The price was a little expensive but it was worth the money due to the fact the food was just like being in China.
The steamed Chicken feet were perfect and my wife could not get enough...truly authentic Chinese cuisine!
