Big Al's Oyster Bar

Big Al's Oyster Bar at The Orleans provided us with a great lunch experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh shucked oysters and the delicious shrimp po' boy. The oysters Rockefeller were also a highlight. The freshly baked bread delivered to our table was absolutely delicious. The only minor drawback was that the oysters could have been rinsed a bit more before serving. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Big Al's.

Arrived at Big Al’s oyster bar about 45 mins before closing. I knew we weren’t super hungry and if they seated us we would be fast! I promised and they accommodated us. We already knew what we wanted so shortly after we were seated we place our order with the waitress. The Louisiana crab cakes were chock full of crab with each bite and the creole mustard sauce wasn’t overwhelming. We liked it so much we ordered 2! The salad was also full of crab meat with nice crunchy bacon hidden under the mound of crab. We requested ranch for our salad dressing and luckily it was on the side or I think the salad would have been swimming in the ranch. And finally the chowder…I’m reminiscing about the seafood chowder as I write this. You get clams, shrimp, crab and fish in this bowl. It is a hearty, tasty soup and surprisingly not at all salty! I saw the table next to us with the New England chowder and it looked thick and rich so I’m glad we opted for the seafood chowder. Good food and at great prices! The atmosphere is ok. It’s located in the Orleans which is an older, off strip property. Don’t expect the glitz and glamour of the strip properties here. It no frills and showing its age.

We got food to go and bring back to our room since we have 2 kids 5 and under. Ordered the Seafood chowder, umm yum! It was to die for. I only wish I knew how much we'd get. I order two sour dough bowls and we got two large sealed containers enough to feed 4 people if each got seconds. We were also able to order the half shell Rockefeller oysters since they are steamed. Delicious. The bartender who helped was extremely polite and helpful when ordering. Made sure we had silverware too. Sadly the rooms had no refrigerator so we couldn't save what we could not finish and that was a lot! Try it for sure, prices are very reasonable.

The food was great we had the Louisiana crab cakes🦀, Seafood chowder🦀🦞🦐, and Big Al's Pan Roast. The food very well Blended and seasoned well and the flavor was great everything was served hot not lukewarm I appreciate the attention the server at first it started off mediocre but it did pick up and became a pleasant experience. BIG AL'S PAN ROAST 👍👍🤩🤩🤩🤩 shrimp and crab simmered in brandy, white wine, bell peppers, and spices, finished with our rich lobster and tomato cream sauce. Mmmmmmmmm good It was so much food we had to take some back home to our Airbnb I do recommend going here food was great the atmosphere was Lively you are in the casino so just to let you know and afterwards you can go catch a movie in the casino or go do your thing

Love Big Al's, if you sit at the counter they make your food right in front of you. Very friendly chefs, it's like a sushi bar but it serves Csjun food. Everything is always very fresh delicious. We vist Big Al's whenever we are in Vegas. Great lunch place. Also. Very friendly inexpensive casino.
