Growing up California let me tell you how selective we are for our Tacos. I come to this area couple times a year and had yet to find a place that would be par to the California flavors. That all changed when we walked into Urbanos. Soon as I walked in I felt like this wasn't your normal taco experience. The lighting, decor, the bar all felt a notch above the norm. We were greeted by Edgar our server who had a great smile on his face to welcome us. He was really invested in his job and seemed very interested in our experience. He explained the menu in detail and made recommendations based on my craving for shrimp and carne. I ordered the Korean taco and also the Argentina taco. Wow was I impressed. Meat was seasoned to my taste and so tender. The condiments were all fresh and had a nice crunch to it. Even the presentation was great. Not a traditional plate. Based on Edgar's recommendations we also ordered a couple chicken empanadas. The crunch from the cabbage and creamy sauce made for a fantastic delight. Look forward to going there again before my vacation is over. If you are in Lafayette LA and are looking for some Tacos this is a slam dunk.
This place is off the chain. Authentic, fresh, and delicious. The service is one of the best in Lafayette, and the employees are knowledgeable with suggestions and information. If you are looking for a new Taco Tuesday spot or want to enjoy an authentic taqueria, check the place out!

Wait staff is awesome. The tacos are awesome. The margaritas are awesome. The taquitos are awesome. The tamales are awesome. The churros are awesome. And after I go back on Thursday to try the Tres Leches cake I will probably add that it is awesome... seriously, I’ve been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and every time it’s been fantastic.
UPDATE: while eating here Tuesday we asked for Tres Leches cake, which they said they didn’t have at the time. We asked when they would have it and our waiter told us he would go talk to someone and see if they could make it soon. After he talked to someone in the back he repeatedly told us they would have a fresh cake ready for us if we came back on Thursday. Well... it’s Thursday. I just called to make sure they had it before going up there. Was told they just had to throw out the last batch because it only lasts so long, and they don’t have any, but the Johnston St. location has some if I want to go over there.
So basically, if you want Tres Leches cake don’t waste your time coming to this location. Overall I really like this place, but they lost a star because the waiter promised us something and didn’t follow through. If you can’t make something happen, don’t tell people repeatedly that you will make it happen.
Our favorite here are the Homeboy tacos and the refried beans and rice. The service was slow only because there was one person serving the tables. Our server was sweet, patient, and attentive. This location is closing but we will visit the Johnson St location next time we are in Lafayette.
Freaking delicious! Good food excellent drinks. Great looking little place. Music is jamming. Good beer selection. Fusion tacos were the jam! I'm coming here every night. Best night of my life!

Fresh quality ingredients aren't cheap. This place is awesome. If you want frozen veggies and heat lamp tortillas go get a budget meal somewhere else. You get what you pay for and this place delivers!
I like the atmosphere and food was great. The tacos was tasty and different which I like. Staff was friendly and owner check up on me to ensure me and my family was enjoying ourselves.
Any time that I crave delicious food, a good time, and an inviting atmosphere... I always head to Urbano's! Definitely the best tacos in Louisiana! You have to try it for yourself (:
The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. Not to mention the food is amazing! Clean and fun environment, just wish they had one of these back home. This place is going to be my go to when I’m in Lafayette!
Amazing food. Not your run of the mill Mexican taco place, great service great menu. Edgar is the best server, tip him like a boss.
Urbanos food is excellent. My favorite Taco is the Argentino! It is a must try. They have the best music and the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back and back. Love it.
