First of all, that not your grandma's Christmas cookie drink or whatever it was called is a drink of legends. Second of all everything else was awesome. We were just in town for the night, so we didn't hold back and ordered everything we thought we could eat and then a little more. The bill still felt extremely reasonable especially with the drinks and beers. This is five star dining and their prices aren't really even that much higher than a McDonald's meal if you don't go crazy like we did. Amazing experience and will return again happily if I find myself anywhere near the vicinity again (hopefully soon)

Cajun fusion was the food I didn’t know I needed to try before trying it. Everything I had, from the starter salad, to the entree was fantastic! I ordered the crawfish enchiladas, and would absolutely recommend those. They were the perfect amount of creamy and spicy. The service and atmosphere was also very enjoyable.

Everything was 10/10! We got the bang bang gator, shrimp po-boy, blackened chicken pasta, gumbo, etoufee. I literally have to have EVERYTHING next time I’m in town (I can do without the etoufee since I make my own). Amanda was beyond amazing, very knowledgeable and patient! We will be back. I’m leaving with a real taste of Cajun

Overall experience was great. Our server was wonderful! We tried the Alligator BangBang for appetizer, and it was my first time. IT WAS SO GOOD, IT BASICALLY TASTES LIKE CHICKEN. My husband got the fried Catfish Mon Dieu, which he rated an 8/10. And i got the Blackened Chicken with creamy Tomato penne pasta, THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. IT WAS SO GOOD I HAD TO TRY AND REPLICATE IT AT HOME. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍👍👍👍

We got to try the gumbo while on the Cajun Food Tour, and it was to die for. I would highly recommend trying this dish!

Walking in the atmosphere of this location is amazing. I love the style and how it sets the mood. They have a live band perform. The staff is knowledgeable about the food and give great recommendations. The food came out quickly. I overheard someone having an issue with their food next to us BUT the staff and the manager addressed the situation quickly and wonderfully. Our server checked in frequently. He offered to box our food up for us which was wonderful!
Cons: The entree I had seemed small in portion to others. Honestly, it probably was the correct portion of food a person SHOULD eat. However, I was hoping for a little more then just a small sweet potato, shrimp, and one side (asparagus) for the price. So, I would suggest trying a different meal if you are looking for more food to eat haha. Or I wish they would add an extra scoop of the sweet potato or a second side.
Pros: We ordered a bread pudding to go. The ice cream was phenomenal! I need to know what kind and brand it was.

The Bon Temps Grill is an excellent restaurant for families. My family and I stopped in Lafayette to spend the night and found this place. The 5-star reviews are right - the food is excellent! We tried the alligator bang bang and seafood stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and both were delicious. My son loved the Shrimp and Tasso pasta dish, my daughter loved her 6 oz filet, my husband really enjoyed the crawfish enchiladas, and my Bon Temps shrimp tacos were delicious. The sides with our dishes are also worth mentioning, particularly the jalapeno cheese grits and the corn maque choux - so amazing!!! We also tried the Gator Tini and the Creole Cocktail, both of which had an excellent blend of flavors. Our waiter, Devon, was knowledgeable and helpful and answered all of our questions about the menu. We highly recommend trying this restaurant if you're anywhere near Lafayette, Louisiana. It's worth a trip off the interstate.

This was perhaps one of the most memorably spur the moment experiences I’ve ever had. My family decided to go to this lovely southern cuisine restaurant in the great city of Lafayette, La. We were celebrating my graduation at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with lunch. We stumbled upon this restaurant by the proverbial "google search” method, and boy were we in for a delight. I decided to get the crab cakes, catfish Mon Dieu, and the Hurricane. The crab cakes were astronomically delicious, the Hurricane was perfectly balanced and coordinated well with the afternoon lunch. However, that catfish Mon Dieu was on some next level flavor and the service was exceptional. I give 5/5, well done.
