We came here for my partner’s birthday and had a lovely dinner. The atmosphere is unbeatable, it’s such a charming location with eye for detail. Our server, Peter, was wonderful! We had the $165 standard menu (you can choose from a couple of dishes per course, there is no à la carte) and loved all of the food. I recommend this place for any special occasion, or just a splurge!

Fantastic night out, enjoying their Oktoberfest Dinner. It was a great night, enjoying dinner with my mother and husband, the first nice dinner after the birth of my son a month ago. We had the beer pairings and some wine - a much needed treat after pregnancy. My mother and I adore fine dining and wine/beer. My husband is newer to high-end meals and is not a fan of alcohol, however he had such a great night. Typically, he struggles with the tiny portions of most high end properties and leaves hungry - not tonight! He had a great time and was very impressed when his entree arrived and it was a great portion. I'll be honest - the food cost on this Oktoberfest dinner must've been high because we were so impressed with the portions and the amount of mushroom/protein on the plate. I'm not sure they made money on the food... It was fantastic and we highly recommend.

Dinner at the White Barn Inn was a highlight of our amazing trip to Maine. As guests of the hotel we were invited into the kitchen to meet the chef and have a glass of champagne. I hesitated at first to take them up on the offer because I didn’t want to be a nuisance to the kitchen but, like every person at White Barn Inn, the chef and his staff were so kind and welcoming. It was really something to see them all in action. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was wonderfully attentive and helpful. My husband had the Prix fixe menu and I had the 8 course chef tasting menu. It’s rare that a restaurant allows only one person to do the tasting menu so I appreciated that flexibility. Every dish was exquisite. Beautifully plated, creative dishes with local ingredients, and most importantly delicious. Some stand outs were the tomato tartare, the caviar sandwhich, and the Wagyu beef. It is a very elegant dining room and I should mention that last year we had a booking at the restaurant and were turned away because my husband was wearing jeans. They were nice jeans worn with a blazer so it seemed a little silly but we were seated in the more casual “Little Barn” instead and still enjoyed it. This obviously didn’t deter us from coming back and it seems they may have loosened up the dress code because I did see a few diners in jeans.

We went at the Little Barn at the White Barn Inn for the lunch. You can choose “à la carte”or take the two courses menu for $28. The two courses are one first and one main or one main and one dessert. I went for the later with a tempura paddock and dessert, while my wife took the lobster roll à la carte for $32. We share the dessert, a lava cake, with some caramel ice cream. Truly the dessert was our first in the Maine as something really well made and absolutely amazing. The service was spectacular from start to finish. The lunch is served in the second room or outside and not in the main barn itself, which only the diner is served.

Elegant, dim lighting, quiet room is the setting for a wonderful memorable dining experience my wife and I had on our last night of a 10 day vacation in New England. We chose the "Prix Fixe Fine Dining Menu" and enjoyed a 2 hour dinner. Service and recommendations by wait staff was first class. Highly recommend this 5 star restaurant.

This may be the best dining experience we’ve ever had; none of the Michelin starred restaurants we’ve experience were this good. The interior gives the impression of a small barn complete with a hayloft (sans hay). There is small bar area at the front of the restaurant with a piano on which standards were played during the course of the meal. There were bar patrons seated at the piano enjoying their cocktails. Watching the wait staff perform was like watching ballet. As every course was served, members of the wait staff would serve each guest at a given table simultaneously with an easy grace. It was wonderfully choreographed. The food was spectacular. While there is a menu, the tasting menu is the emphasis and the way to go. There were two menus that was offered to us, The Lobster Tasting Menu and the Chef’s Eight Course Blind Tasting. We both chose the blind tasting. All 8 course were perfectly done. For brevity, I’ll only review 3. First out was the Tomato Tartare. Easily our favorite course of the evening. Served with a dollop of barrata ice cream, flavor was bright, but crunchy bits of Parmesan and toasted sour dough crumbles made for a wonderful experience. The fish course was a butter poached halibut served with guava beans in a white sauce. The beef course was Wagyu beef and was spectacular. Pictures of each are included. Our servers were Nathan and Ryan, and they exceptional.

Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. They were able to accommodate a vegetarian diet with a special menu, which I always appreciate. Don’t skip the cucumber sorbet - my husband didn’t expect much from it but was blown away by the flavor. We really enjoyed our meal!
